aspas is the only player to surpass the 1,000-kill mark at Champions
After five editions of the VALORANT World Championship — the Champions, one question naturally arises: who are the players with the most kills in the tournament’s history?
Unsurprisingly, players who have appeared multiple times at Champions have had far more opportunities to rack up impressive numbers. Several pros have competed in four different editions of the event, but following the 2025 edition in Paris, only three players can claim to have participated in every single Champions to date: Jake “Boaster” Howlett (Fnatic), Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan (DRX), and Yu “BuZz” Byung-chul (T1). While both BuZz and MaKo find themselves comfortably placed in the Top 10 for total kills, neither sits at the top of the mountain.
The Final Boss
That honor belongs to the legendary Erick “aspas” Santos (MIBR). The Brazilian superstar, 2022 world champion with LOUD, and widely regarded as one of VALORANT’s GOATs — by both fans and fellow pros alike — is the only player in history to surpass the 1,000-kill mark at Champions.
He achieved this figure in the 2025 edition, where he also set a new record for the highest number of kills in a single BO3 at a global tournament, with 80 kills. Rounding out the top three are Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev (Team Vitality) in second place, and BuZz in third.
