VALORANT Mobile set to outperform PC version
VALORANT Mobile is experiencing phenomenal success even before its official release. According to the latest official information shared on Weibo, the game has surpassed 30 million pre-registrations, confirming the massive enthusiasm of Chinese players for this mobile adaptation of Riot Games' FPS. It's worth noting that the beta phase will initially be available exclusively in China. This achievement reflects the huge anticipation surrounding the game, which had already reached 10 million registrations just 48 hours after the launch announcement.

The VALORANT Mobile esports ecosystem is already taking shape, with the announcement of a major tournament featuring a $92,000 prize pool. The competition is set to run over four weeks and will bring together teams from five different streaming platforms. Some of the most well-known Chinese esports organizations have already shown interest, with confirmed teams from EDward Gaming, All Gamers, NOVA, Wolves Esports, and Tong Jia Bao. This early competitive momentum likely reflects Riot Games' ambition to replicate the esport success of VALORANT PC on mobile, as well as the growing focus from developers on the mobile gaming market.
Following in Wildrift’s Footsteps
To date, no Beta has been announced outside of China. This highlights not only the strength of the Chinese market for Riot Games but also the West's lack of interest in mobile games. Additionally, developing a game directly in China offers an advantage due to the strict approval process imposed by local authorities on video games. Once the game is ready, it can be launched worldwide with a single click, whereas it often takes several months or even years for a foreign game to gain access to the Chinese market. Riot Games’ initial venture into mobile gaming, Wild Rift—a spin-off of League of Legends—took nearly a year to launch in China following its global release.
