Jorge "Lopon" López will join Natus Vincere as Strategic Coach for the 2026 LEC season, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. At only 24 years old, Lopon will continue his career in the LEC after spending the last two years as an Assistant Coach at Team Heretics. He will join Vasilis "TheRock" Voltis' coaching staff alongside Adrien "GotoOne" Picard.

During his time at Heretics, he worked within a large coaching staff led by Víctor "Machuki" Machuca, alongside other assistant coaches, individual coaches, and analysts. Before reaching the LEC, Lopon’s path was built from the ground up: after starting his career as a content creator on YouTube, where he produced League of Legends guides, he transitioned into coaching in 2021. His early years were marked by apparitions in Spanish amateur and second-division teams, where he helped his squads climb the ranks and even compete for promotion to the Superliga first division.

At the end of 2023, when Team Heretics opened coaching positions, Lopon seized the chance by submitting his work samples despite still working in the lower leagues. He then joined the organization and effectively skipped the ERL system, making the direct jump to the LEC. This offseason, Lopon considered continuing with Heretics, but ultimately decided to take a new step in his career—joining a new project with NAVI.

NAVI's first project is in motion

Natus Vincere, who entered the LEC mid-2025 after acquiring Rogue’s slot, is fast strengthening its ranks for 2026. After a challenging debut Summer Split with no wins in the group stage, NAVI quickly moved to secure key staff and players for the next season. As reported by Sheep Esports, TheRock has been locked as head coach since early September, while the club also secured players like jungler Enes "Rhilech" Uğcan in July, and ADC Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon even earlier in June. Adding Lopon to the coaching staff is part of this push to build a more competitive and stable project.

Lopon's prior role at Team Heretics, where he operated within a multi-member staff, will bring additional coaching depth to Natus Vincere’s setup. His experience in the LEC and working alongside various specialists is part of the foundation NAVI is currently building in its first real LEC project.
