Los Grandes will replace Isurus while assembling a competitive roster with Two Brazilians, Two Koreans and an Argentinean
Sources close to Sheep Esports revealed that Los Grandes has been selected to acquire the CBLoL slot left by Isurus after the Argentinean organization decided to depart from League of Legends. The team owned by EZOR, which also invests in Valorant’s Made in Brazil, will return to Brazil’s premier competition for the 2026 season.
The race to claim the open slot featured several heavy hitters across Latin America. From Brazil’s own scene, KaBuM! Ilha das Lendas gave LOS a run for their money, but were ultimately not chosen. Both Alpha7 and Farenvehn had fewer chances, but were also considered for the spot. A Spanish-speaking team, Mexico’s Estral Esports, was also in the race to succeed Isurus.
The Year Away
A staple in CBLoL competition in 2023 and 2024, they were not selected to participate in LTA South, South America’s league, following the merger with North America. This gut-wrenching decision could have pushed them away, but LOS decided to continue their LoL division by participating in Circuito Desafiante, Brazil’s secondary league.
2025 was a decent year for the recently promoted team. They were eliminated from the playoffs in 4th and tied 5th during Split 1 and Split 2, respectively. These results forced them to miss the opportunity to fight for promotion.
Big Leagues, Big Responsibility
Though they’ve managed to return to CBLoL in 2026, LOS obtained a guest slot, not a partner slot. Just like the team replaced, LOS will have to defend its slot from challengers in CD and LRS. For the first time since 2024, Los Grandes will rekindle their intense rivalry with LOUD. Their last official CBLoL match dates to Week 6 of Split 2.
No player from the 2025 roster is expected to be retained. Brazilians Leandro "Drakehero" Paes and Wallyson "duduhh" Francisco will graduate from CD. Both import slots will be utilized on Kim "Zest" Dong-min and Jeong "Feisty" Seong-hoon. After negotiations with Pedro "scamber" Lemos Soares stalled, Gabriel "Ackerman" Pereira will be the only player LOS inherits from ISG. Ilias "Enatron" Theodorou will have his first experience in Brazil, leaving his position as Ici Japon Corp. Esport's Head Coach.
Los Grandes' reported roster for 2026:
- Toplane: Kim "Zest" Dong-Min
- Jungle: Leandro "Drakehero" Paes Gonçalves
- Midlane: Jeong "Feisty" Seong-hoon
- AD Carry: Wallyson “duduhh” Francisco
- Support: Gabriel "Ackerman" Aparicio
- Head Coach: Ilias "Enatron" Theodorou
