Los Ratones and BK ROG will face off in the EMEA Masters semifinal on Wednesday, June 18
The EMEA Masters Spring Split 2025 quarterfinals kicked off with two matches played simultaneously. BK ROG Esports cruised past Misa Esports with a 3-1 win to secure their spot in the semifinals. Meanwhile, the second best-of-five went the distance, as reigning champions Los Ratones edged out BoostGate Esports in five games. With that, Los Ratones join BKR in the EMEA Masters semifinals. The LFL and NLC champions will clash on Wednesday, June 18 at 5 PM CET for a place in the grand final.
BK ROG are scaling up as the tournament progresses. Back in the group stage, the French champions had already shown promise by winning both of their best-of-threes, even though they dropped a game to Berlin International Gaming. Since then, they’ve eliminated StormMedia FMS in the first round and now the second seed from the TCL. The Turkish side did show some resistance—game 1 was firmly in their control before the tide turned, and they managed to take game 3 despite a late-game scare—but overall, BKR proved to be the stronger team. They now move forward on their path to claiming the EMEA Masters title.
A rough day for the TCL
The Turkish first seed has fallen in the quarterfinals to the reigning champions, Los Ratones. The series started strong for BoostGate, who took game 1 off the back of a great Viego performance by Enes "XnS" Hansu, finishing with a flawless 14/0/6. Los Ratones responded in game 2 with a dominant showing from Juš "Crownie" Marušič on Tristana. BoostGate then reclaimed the lead with an unconventional draft featuring Darius top, Lee Sin jungle, and Aphelios bot, showcasing confident and creative play to reach match point.
In game 4, the Turkish squad looked poised to close out the series, but Los Ratones’ botlane stepped up. Martin "Rekkles" Larsson’s Rakan was involved in 21 of the team’s 22 kills, forcing a decisive game 5. While XnS flexed his champion pool, Veljko "Velja" Čamdžić answered back with a stellar Kindred performance to close the series. With Fearless Draft in play and champion options narrowing, Tim "Nemesis" Lipovšek brought out his fourth Zilean mid pick since joining Marc "Caedrel" Lamont’s team, helping seal a hard-fought win for the defending champions.
The remaining EMEA Masters quarterfinals will take place on June 17, with Gentle Mates facing Barça eSports and Los Heretics going up against Karmine Corp Blue. The winners of these two series will meet in the semifinals on June 19 for a spot in the grand final, where they’ll face the winner of BK ROG vs Los Ratones, scheduled for June 18. The EMEA Masters grand final is set for June 21 at 5 PM CET.
