Every beautiful story must come to an end, and today, it is IvĂĄn "Razork" MartĂn DĂaz's time at Fnatic that comes to a close after five years with the Black and Orange. For next year, the Spanish jungler is set to join Team Heretics and will remain in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday.
With this new addition, Team Heretics are the most advanced LEC team in roster building for 2027, and the first team to lock three players. Team Vitality jungler Linas "Lyncas" Nauncikas was also considered for the position, but the player is entertaining discussions with other LEC teams.
At 26, Razork is set to take on a new challenge in the LEC, a league he joined in 2020 with Misfits Gaming before moving to Fnatic in 2022, where he remained until the end of 2026. Unfortunately, he never managed to win the most coveted trophy in European League of Legends. He will now join TH, a team that had already tried to sign him last year and reached an agreement with Fnatic over his buyout, but failed to reach an agreement with the player.
Third player on the Heretics roster
He will be the third player to join the Heretics roster on a new contract this offseason. On a one-year deal, Razork will play alongside Adam "
Jackies" JeĆĂĄbek for the first time in his career. He will also reunite with Korean support Yoon "
Jun" Se-jun, with whom he played in 2024 and reached three LEC finals, all of which ended in defeats against G2.
Heretics, having already signed Jackies and Jun, played a major role in convincing Razork to join the Spanish organization, as all three players were eager to play together. It is worth noting that Shopify Rebellion had also made enquiries about signing Razork, but the Cachorrita will ultimately remain in the LEC.
Towards the end of the Spring Split and throughout the Summer Split last year, Heretics parted ways with French Jungler Théo "Sheo" Borile and promoted Polish player Kacper "Daglas" Dagiel. The jungler is under contract with TH until 2027 but is no longer part of the team's LEC plans.
As for Fnatic, the departure of a player as iconic as Razork marks the beginning of a rebuild for the British organization, with all of its players out of contract at the end of the year except for support Park "Lospa" Joon-hyeong, whose contract runs until 2027 according to the
Global Contract Database.
Since joining Fnatic, Razork had never missed Worlds until this year, but missing out on the tournament was far from the only problem Fnatic faced. The team endured
a very difficult year, with Razork looking unrecognizable on several occasions. Fnatic finished eighth in Winter, followed by two seventh-place finishes in Spring and Summer. The jungler will now look to bounce back after a difficult year.
