MIBR's new team is starting to take shape
Chilean player Roberto "Mazino" Rivas will join Made in Brazil (MIBR) for the VALORANT Champions Tour Americas 2026, as reported by TheSpike.GG. Although he was under contract with KRÜ Esports, the two organizations agreed on a buyout today for Mazino to join the Brazilian team next year, according to sources close to Sheep Esports.
For his fourth year in the VCT, Mazino will join MIBR and will try to return to the international competitions that he was unable to play this season with KRÜ. On the MIBR side, after their elimination at Champions Paris, the Brazilian team's new project is gradually taking shape and is proving to be increasingly frightening for the competition.
MIBR almost complete
Beaten in a very close game by DRX at the Champions, MIBR seems more determined than ever to form a new invincible team. With one of the best players in the world, Erick "aspas" Santos, renewing his contract, the team already had plenty to attract talented players to further strengthen its roster. The team also renewed its confidence in Andrew “Verno” Maust in the role of In-Game Leader for the upcoming year. With this strong base, a significant boost added itself with Zachary "zekken" Patrone joining from Sentinels. It's now Mazino's turn to join the roster and makes a team that was already scary on paper, possibly even stronger.
Mazino's season with KRÜ is probably not the best of his career in terms of collective performances. The Argentine team could not do better than fourth place at the Kickoff and never made it into the top teams again for the rest of the year. Although he has not competed in international competitions this season, Mazino remains a very experienced player and a strong value in the Americas region.
In 2024, he was notably part of the Leviatán team that won Stage 2 of VCT Americas and competed at Champions. Alongside aspas, Mazino and Leviatán even reached the upper bracket final but fell against Edward Gaming and then against Team Heretics. Mazino will therefore reunite with his former teammate from Leviatán, and together they will attempt to win the trophy that eluded them in 2024.
MIBR 2026 roster so far:
- Erick “aspas” Santos
- Zachary “zekken” Patrone
- Andrew “Verno” Maust
- Roberto "Mazino" Rivas
