Josedeodo is close to making his second appearance on the North American League of Legends scene
EDIT: This article was edited with hypothetical wording. While Showtana aimed to report this move as non-finalized, the English version of this article made it sound definitive. Josedeodo's verbal agreement with LYON seems to be pending other conditions.
______
One of the key players in the LTA South in 2025 could not return to CBLOL 2026. With his contract ending, Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas might pursue a different career path in 2026.
Sources tell Sheep Esports that the Argentinian jungler is in advanced negotiations with LYON to play in the LCS 2026. He would replace Sebastián “Oddie” Alonso, a legendary name in the Latin American League of Legends scene.
Recently, Isurus bid farewell to Frankie “Zamudo” Lin, who had been loaned by LYON itself after its elimination from the LTA North. He played two playoff series and the Relegation for CBLOL 2026 with the organization and managed to keep Isurus in the main championship for another season.
Josedeodo in 2025
This year, Josedeodo took first place in Kick-Off, third place in Split 2, and finished with a third stage well below expectations, being eliminated very early in the competition's playoffs.
LYON, in turn, also did not perform well in LTA North throughout the competitive year and lived off a few flashes in the competition, in addition to visa problems with Zamudo.
With this move, the duo could play together again next year. In addition to the two, Kang "Saint" Sung-in has been confirmed in LYON's squad for 2026.
