If BLG win their next best-of-five, they will qualify for MSI
The first Upper Bracket Semifinal saw regular season leaders Top Esports face off against fourth-place Bilibili Gaming. While the standings clearly favored TES, recent form told a different story. In fact, during the final best-of-three of the split, BLG secured a clean 2-0 victory over TES. Since the arrival of jungler Yang "Beichuan" Ling, Bilibili Gaming has lost only a single series, showcasing a significant resurgence in performance.
The best team in China
In game one of the series, Zhao "Elk" Jia-Hao was on Ezreal—arguably his best champion—as he's considered one of the best AD Carries in the world on it. He led the game in damage and posted a dominant 9/1/9 scoreline, setting the tone for the rest of the series. Game two was once again decided in the botlane, with Luo "ON" Wen-Jun this time on Rell. He was involved in every single kill for his team, delivering a standout performance that carried BLG into game three with full momentum.
The final game appeared to be lost at the draft for TES, who needed their mid-jungle duo of Yone and Trundle to get ahead early in order to be effective—but they failed to do so. On the other side, Chen "Bin" Ze-Bin once again shined on Ambessa, just as he did against Invictus Gaming last Saturday. TES were completely shut down in this best-of-five and never managed to find their footing.
After this victory, BLG advance to the next round, where they will face the winner of the match between Anyone's Legend and Weibo Gaming, scheduled for Tuesday, June 3. If they manage to win their next best-of-five, they will qualify for MSI 2025. On the other side of the bracket, TES will take on the winner of JD Gaming vs. Team WE, a series set to take place on Thursday, June 5.
