Invictus Gaming join Weibo in the Regional Finals
LPL Split 3 comes to an end for Invictus Gaming as they fall heavily to Anyone's Legend in the Lower Bracket on a clean sweep. While their split ends here, their year isn’t over, as IG drop into the Regional Finals, which already feature Weibo Gaming. Meanwhile, AL continue their Lower Bracket run; after a 3-1 win over Ninjas in Pyjamas, they take down IG, the Split 2 champions will face JD Gaming next, who previously defeated Weibo.

This victory also puts Anyone's Legend in a strong position in terms of Championship Points. They currently lead with 165 points, ahead of Bilibili Gaming at 160 and Top Esports at 120. As a reminder, in the LPL only the Summer Split champion automatically qualifies for Worlds. The first remaining spot goes to the team with the most Championship Points, while the last two are decided in the four-team Regional Finals.
Tarzan, Tarzan, and then Tarzan
The best-of series between AL and IG was quite fast, lasting only three games, none of which reached the half-hour mark. Each was a decisive stomp, with AL’s Korean jungler, Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong, earning MVP in all three games — and all three were well-deserved.
In game one, Tarzan put on an impressive performance on Qiyana, the current jungle meta in the LPL. Special mention goes to AD Carry Wang "Hope" Jie on Kai’Sa, who also had a stellar game, finishing 12/0/8. Game two saw AL’s mid-jungle duo dominate IG. Tarzan on Pantheon and Cui "Shanks" Xiao-Jun on Galio coordinated perfectly, with a full AP build on the tanky midlaner causing chaos.
In the final game, Tarzan continued to carry, this time on Trundle. He created remarkable moments with pillar outplays, dying only twice in the entire series, and seemed unstoppable. He almost single-handedly sent AL to the Lower Bracket Semifinal against JDG, where they’ll likely face a tough challenge, though the gap between the teams currently looks significant.
