Vitality will play again this Friday against the winner of IJC vs BKR for a spot at the EMEA Masters
Vitality.Bee is pushing forward in the LFL playoffs bracket. On Tuesday evening, the Bees edged out Galions 3-2 in a tightly contested series, earning the right to face the winner of tonight's match between Ici Japon Corp and BK ROG.
VITB lands a heavy blow. They get their revenge for the regular-season loss against Galions and secure the their first BO5 win of the year, two weeks after securing their first BO3 victory against Solary. This result also marks the end of the split for Galions, who fall short of their performance at this year's Flash In, where they ended 4th. They finish the Spring Split in 5th-6th place and will not qualify for the EMEA Masters, a tournament they reached last Summer under the Team GO banner.
The fearless practice sessions mentioned by Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec in his recent interview didn't seem to pay off in this series. Despite an overall very close BO5 where both teams played nearly evenly throughout, the final game highlighted just how crucial it is to have a deep champion pool if you want to be the best in the ERLs. Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié stepped up with a stellar performance on his signature pick, Zoe, proving once again that he can be relied upon in clutch moments.
Who will face the Bees on Friday?
Additionally, for the first time in LFL history, a 1v1 was used to determine side selection for Game 5. With both the champion and players chosen at random by a roulette, Maximilian "Vertigo" Rassi executed Onurcan "Ragner" Aslan twice in a Darius mirror match.
The Bees return this Friday to face the winner of tonight’s clash. Today’s matchup between IJC and BKR will decide who joins the league’s top 4. IJC is aiming for another EMEA Masters qualification and must win two straight BO5s — first against BKR, then against VITB. There’s a compelling storyline as well: a showdown between two rising stars with LEC ambitions. Tonight, the midlane prodigy Šimon "OMON" Řiháček will go head-to-head with the ADC widely regarded as the best in the league, Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon. The match kicks off at 6 PM CET.
