eXyu played for Disguised in LTA North this year
After going from Dignitas to Disguised last year, Lawrence Lin "eXyu" Xu is now making the return trip. eXyu is set to join Dignitas in the League Championship Series (LCS), sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. He will replace Jade "Sheiden" Libut and make his comeback to the organization he previously played for between 2022 and 2024.
Dignitas are in the midst of several roster adjustments but have chosen to retain their toplaner Kyeong "Photon" Gyu-tae, who is re-signing with the team. With one of the smaller budgets in the league, the organization didn’t have the flexibility to chase the flashiest offseason targets. Their second import slot will instead be allocated to the support role.
Back at Dignitas
eXyu spent a large portion of his career with Dignitas, which he joined in early 2022. He made several LCS appearances while sharing the role with Kim "River" Dong-woo, but spent most of his time with the academy lineup. In 2023, he played the entire Spring Split in the NACL before moving up to the LCS for Spring 2024, where the team finished 5th–6th in the playoffs.
He later returned to the academy circuit with Fear x Starforge, then made his way back to Tier 1 with Disguised. It was a difficult year overall, with two bottom finishes in Splits 1 and 2 and a 5th–6th place in Split 3. The promotion tournament was the one bright spot, as the team and eXyu managed to secure their spot for the following season.
