Alan "
" Cwalina had the choice between the United States and Poland, and it is ultimately Poland that will secure the services of the Karmine Corp support, sources tell Sheep Esports. Busio will therefore reunite on the national team with his former jungler from their time on
, Kacper "
" Słoma, who also helped to convince Busio in joining the national roster.
Busio has been selected by Fantasyexpo, a group behind brands such as GAM3RS_X and WE!RE Fantasy, who are in charge of Poland at the Esports Nations Cup.
Not going to play for USA
Busio, born in the USA but with Polish parents, has decided to play for the country his family comes from. Contacted by Sheep Esports, Daniel Clerke, President of Esports Operations at USA Esports, commented on this report:
"The beauty of these events isn't that it's just nation vs nation competition. It's that players get to stand beneath a flag that they choose with their heart. When competitors have the honor of competing for their heritage, they are carrying more than just a country. Players that are dual citizens have every right to choose the flag that they resonate most with and we look forward to competing with everyone in November."
USA Esports are in charge of managing the United States at the Esports Nations Cup.
A difficult choice
A few months ago, in an
interview with Hotspawn, when asked about a scenario where both nations called him up, Busio replied: “
I don’t know the specifics, but maybe I’d just join the better roster. Also, my Polish isn’t that good. So if the Polish team is speaking Polish, just put me on Team USA.” In the end, he has decided to compete for Poland and will join the team led by Kacper "
Nahovsky" Merski, Head Coach of Vitality.Bee.
In April, Busio shared a poll on X asking fans to choose between Poland and the United States, with 71% voting in favour of Poland. However, Sheep Esports can confirm the results had no bearing on his decision, Busio had already committed to Poland before the poll was ever posted.
Which players will surround him?
In the
Nations Cup section on
Sheep Esports, fans can vote for their dream national lineups across multiple countries, including Poland. With over 10,000 votes, the community rallied behind Adrian “
Trymbi” Trybus as their favorite support pick, though Poland ultimately went with Busio for the role.
Per Sheep Esports sources, top laner Sebastian “Tracyn” Wojtoń (Team Heretics), Kacper “Inspired” Słoma (LYON), and AD carry Franciszek “HARPOON” Gryszkiewicz (Galions) are also expected to be part of the roster.
National rosters must be submitted by May 10th, 2026 for approval. With multiple Tier 1 players on the line-up, including two Worlds 2025 participants, Poland has a strong chance of skipping the qualifiers and competing directly in the main event of the Nations Cup in November 2026.
