Diable secured a pentakill in Game 3 to seal the win for his team
The LCK resumed Round 1-2 in Week 6 with two best-of-threes. This Wednesday BNK FEARX managed to edge out OKSavingsBank BRION in a three-game series, sealed by a pentakill from Nam "Diable" Dae-geun. Meanwhile, KT Rolster completely outclassed Dplus KIA in the second matchup of the day. With this win, FEARX now sit in sixth place—the last playoffs spot—while KT Rolster remain near the bottom of the standings but can breathe a sigh of relief after breaking their recent losing streak.
A diamond in the rough
With Diable, FEARX may be holding onto a real gem. At just 17 years old, their AD Carry continues to impress and claimed his first LCK MVP today after helping his team take down BRION. Game 1 was heavily dominated by FEARX, particularly through their topside duo Song "Clear" Hyeon-min and Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin, who delivered standout performances on Rumble and Naafiri with scorelines of 12/0/10 and 11/2/11, respectively.
BRION answered back in Game 2, crafting a solid draft around Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon. The young rookie, currently on loan from KT Rolster, has been making a name for himself and looks set for a bright future in the LCK. But in Game 3, it was all about Diable. In a tightly contested match, the FEARX ADC rose to the occasion and sealed the victory with a clean pentakill with Jinx, closing out the series in style.
Six loses in a row for DK
Dplus KIA continue to struggle in the LCK, now on a six-game losing streak. Today, they fell to a revitalized KT Rolster squad that managed to break their own slump. Despite holding a gold lead for most of Game 1, DK lost control after a decisive dragon fight around the 34-minute mark. Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min picked up a quadrakill, and KT secured the Soul and their first win of the series.
Game 2 was much more one-sided, with KT gaining the upper hand early through draft and execution. PerfecT delivered another quadrakill in his return to the starting lineup, showing he could be a reliable option moving forward. However, it was Gwak "Bdd" Bo-sung who earned the MVP of the series, thanks to his consistent performances on Yone and Ryze.
Thursday, T1 will take on DRX in a matchup between two in-form teams, both coming off back-to-back wins and looking to keep the streak alive—though T1 enter as clear favorites. Later in the day, the top of the table will heat up as Nongshim RedForce challenge the undefeated Gen.G, hoping to be the first to take down the reigning champions this split.
