3XA becomes the joint most decorated player in LFL history
Karmine Corp Blue are LFL champions once more. On Friday, September 12, they swept the previously undefeated Galions 3–0 in the Summer Split final. This marks KCB’s second LFL title this year, after reaching all three finals of the season. In total, they now hold five trophies: Spring 2021, Summer 2023, Spring 2024, Flash In 2025, and Summer 2025.
With this victory, Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin becomes the most decorated toplaner in LFL history with three titles. Meanwhile, Thomas "3XA" Foucou claims his fourth, tying him with Jérémy "Eika" Valdénaire as the league’s most successful player. Two of those titles were shared, earned together in Spring and Summer 2022 with LDLC OL.
Another brick in the Wall
If there’s one team in France that always delivers wild storylines, it’s Karmine Corp Blue. Coming into the final, the Galions were undefeated throughout the Summer Split and entered as clear favorites. But the scoreboard tells a different story: a clean 3–0 sweep. After their reverse sweep against Gentle Mates the day before, KCB proved once again that with confidence and momentum, they can overcome anything.
On the Rift, the Blue Wall simply outplayed their opponents. Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec was unable to set up Tolga "Serin" Ölmez as they had in recent weeks, opening the door for KCB’s mid-jungle duo to build massive leads. Across all three games, it was also the Galions’ mistakes that KC punished without hesitation.
But perhaps the best explanation for this newfound confidence comes from the players themselves. After their win over M8 the previous day, team captain 3XA said, "I think as a team we really leveled up. With our backs against the wall, we held each other and reminded ourselves that the real battle was within, because we’re five insane players. I’m proud of everyone for the resilience and calm we showed in those games.” It was as if something clicked when they were down 0–2.
Following today’s triumph and the achievement of yet another title, 3XA reflected on the challenges of his season: "I think this was the hardest year of my life. I questioned my gameplay a lot, the way I work, and who I am as a person."
Head coach Vasilis “TheRock” Voltis drew similar conclusions about the year. Heading to Natus Vincere in the LEC, he will not guide KCB through the EMEA Masters, instead leaving on a high note with a new brick in the wall. He summed it up this way: "Everyone gave their own piece to make this puzzle complete, and that’s why we ended up here." And added: "At the end of the day, the script always writes itself: you win and lose as a team, not as individuals."
Only one challenge remains: the EMEA Masters, a competition Karmine Corp knows well, as they are the most successful team ever. They will attempt to lift their fifth continental trophy, with the undefeated Los Ratones from the NLC, currently chasing a golden road through the ERLs, likely standing in their way. The unusual calendar may raise eyebrows, but one thing is certain: the competition promises amazing storylines.
