The final will be held at Gamescom in Cologne.
The 2025 season of the European WNB (Women and Non-Binary) League of Legends circuit is finally set to begin. While the community continues to await announcements regarding the Game Changers, the Esports Player Foundation revealed the group compositions for the Equal Esports Cup via their X account on Wednesday.
Twelve teams will compete for the title and the opportunity to succeed NNOwO, champions of the 2024 edition. Eight teams received direct invitations — G2 Hel, Galions Pearl, Las Divinas, Nexus Reapers, SK Avarosa, Solary Académie, Vitality Rising Bees, and WLG Female Esports — while the remaining four (Zerance Bloom, Femmes Fatales, Supernova Comets, and Last Minute Airlines) earned their spots through an open qualifier.
The Grand Final on LAN at Gamescom
The twelve teams have been divided into two groups, based on the power rankings of the invitational teams. Group A includes G2H — runners-up of the previous edition — Rising Bees, Las Divinas, WLG Female Stars, Femmes Fatales, and Zerance Bloom. Group B features SK Avarosa, who claimed the title in 2023, alongside Galions Pearl, Nexus Reapers, Solary Académie, Last Minute Airlines, and Supernova Comets.
The group stage will be played in a BO2 format using Fearless Draft, with the top three teams from each group progressing to the playoffs. Playoffs will follow a BO3 Fearless Draft format. Third-seeded teams will start in the lower bracket, while the first and second seeds will enter via the upper bracket. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 1.

As in the previous two editions, the Equal Esports Cup final will be held during Gamescom, taking place from August 20 to 24 in Cologne. Additionally, according to our sources, the EEC was initially considered as a potential qualifier for this year's Game Changers. However, in the absence of any official communication from Riot Games regarding the integration of this format into the broader competitive calendar, it remains unclear whether the EEC will ultimately carry this additional significance.
