Following the conclusion of the final matches in the GSL Group Stage of the EMEA Masters Spring, the round of 16 matchups were drawn this Monday. Matches continue to use Fearless Draft, but are played in best-of-five (BO5) series. The playoffs begin on June 11, with the competition ending with the grand final on June 21.

Eyes on quarters

The eight teams that secured qualification with a 2-0 record — Karmine Corp Blue, BoostGate, NORD Esports, CGN Esports, BK ROG Esports, Barça eSports, Misa Esports, GIANTX Pride — will face one of the four teams that advanced with a 2-1 record: ULF Esports, Gentle Mates, ZennIT, eSuba, Los Heretics, Los Ratones, Zero Tenacity, StormMedia Fajnie Mieć Skład.

Once again, the LFL and the LVP prove their dominance, being the only two ERL to have three of their representatives to reach playoffs — BK ROG, Karmine Corp Blue, Gentle Mates, and Barça eSports, GIANTX Pride, Los Heretics — while regional rivals from LPLOL, LIT, EBL, HitPoint Masters, Arabian League, TCL, Prime League, ESL, and Ultraliga region saw at least one of their seeds fall short.
