Los Ratones play their match at 5 p.m. against StormMedia Fajnie Mieć Skład
The penultimate day of the EMEA Masters Summer 2025 saw many favorites qualify on Tuesday, October 7. Barça eSports took down Los Heretics in a decisive and surprising 2-0, while Karmine Corp Blue, with the same score, handed Partizan Sangal their third consecutive defeat. Gentle Mates quickly dispatched StormMedia Fajnie Mieć Skład, and ROSS Centaurs clinched qualification by defeating Zero Tenacity 2-1.
But the biggest collapse of the day came from Los Ratones. For the third time already in this Swiss Stage, they suffered a defeat, dropping to a 3-3 record and finding themselves in a do-or-die situation for day 7 of the EMEA Masters. The double reigning champions faced the LFL vice-champions, Galions, who controlled the match thanks in large part to a stellar performance from Tolga "Serin" Ölmez.
With these three defeats in the EMEA Masters Summer, Los Ratones have matched their total number of losses from the entire season. In fact, the Rats had lost only three times across all of 2025: 0-2 against KCB in the EMEA Winter group stage, 0-2 against NORD Esports in the NLC Spring Playoffs, and 0-2 against BAR in the EMEA Spring group stage.
Make or break
On October 8, the final ten teams still alive in the Swiss Stage will battle for survival. All at 3-3, this last clash will decide qualification to the playoffs and a spot in the top 16—or elimination and the end of their season. Los Ratones fight for their lives against StormMedia Fajnie Mieć Skład. The Superliga Winter champions and #2 seed from the region must overcome the trap set by TeamOrangeGaming.
Partizan, on a three-loss streak, get a fourth chance at qualification against Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition, who themselves are on a three-win run. Forsaken, another LCQ rookie, face the Bushido Wildcats led by Lee "Peach" Min-gyu, while the Superliga’s fourth seed, Veni Vidi Vici, take on Zero Tenacity. Matches resume this Wednesday at 5 p.m. CET.
