No intra-regional matchups in the Round of 16, which kicks off on Saturday, October 11
The EMEA Masters Summer 2025 Swiss Stage wrapped up this Wednesday. With their backs against the wall, Los Ratones — back-to-back champions this year and already set to compete in the new LEC Winter Split 2026 format according to Sheep Esports — seized their last chance and qualified. Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition joined them, as did Forsaken, along with the two remaining Superliga teams: Los Heretics and Veni Vidi Vici.
The end of the stage was marked by Partizan Sangal’s elimination. After three straight wins against top contenders, they fell four times in a row, regularly facing very tough opponents due to the draw. Off the Rift, Forsaken and Bushido Wildcats spent much of the day trading heated posts on X, sparked by a viral video showing Forsaken players celebrating one of their victories in a rather aggressive manner. Riot Games announced they had opened an investigation that could have affected that day’s series, but the match went ahead, and the Polish side secured qualification.
16 teams remain
Only 16 teams remain, with the draw producing some eye-catching matchups. Forsaken will once again face a TCL team — MISA Esports — the league’s last standing representative. The winner will meet either Karmine Corp Blue or Verdant. In the same bracket, Los Ratones will take on Vitality.Bee, who have won their first four matches so far, while Galions meet surprise package Barça eSports.
On one side of the bracket, three LFL teams — including Los Ratones and last edition’s finalists — are set to clash. The other half, seen as more open, features Los Heretics against undefeated Berlin International Gaming, Gentle Mates facing ROSS Centaurs, Geekay Esports taking on Superliga’s fourth seed VVV, and Spanish champions GIANTX Pride matching up with USE, who come off a four-game win streak in the Swiss Stage.
