Vatira awarded RLCS 2026 Most Valuable Player by the First Touch Rocket League Awards

Axel "Vatira" Touret has won the RLCS 2026 MVP in the inaugural First Touch Rocket League Awards. The Frenchman won the Paris Major, the Kick-Off Weekend and two Regional Opens in Europe during RLCS 2026, alongside Karmine Corp teammates Tristan "Atow." Soyez and Charles "juicy" Sabiani. Vatira has competed in the top echelons of European Rocket League since making his debut during the RLCS 2021-22 season. He joined Karmine Corp following the conclusion of his debut season, becoming a mainstay at the popular French organization. While a World Championship success has eluded the 20-year-old thus far, he will get another opportunity to compete for the title again in the coming week. He also voted as the best Defensive Player of the Year and was joined by teammate Atow and Alexis "zen" Bernier on the All-RLCS First Team.

Vatira’s coach Alexandre "Extra" Paoli who linked up with Vatira on Karmine Corp for the first time this season, won Coach of the Year while his longtime rival, zen, won the Offensive Player of the Year. Justin "jstn." Morales won the Comeback Player of the Year after a successful multi-year career revival. The American has qualified for both World Championships in the past two seasons after a three-year gap following his top-eight finish in RLCS 2021-22. Boston Major winner Nassim "nass" Bali won Most Improved Player of the Year after playing a key role in Gentle Mates’ success this season. He was joined by his teammate Oskar "Oski" Gozdowski and Shopify Rebellion star Jason "Firstkiller" Corral on the All-RLCS Second Team. MENA trio Yazeed Abdullah "Kiileerrz" Bakhashwin, Hisham "Nwpo" Alqadi and Mohammed Khalid "trk511" Alotaibi round out the final All-RLCS Third Team.

The award show was conducted on the Rocket League twitch channel by First Touch podcast trio Tyler "Tbates" Bates, Demar "Dazerin" Williams and Raul "Roll Dizz" Diaz. The First Touch pre-show will be returning to the World Championship starting on September 18.
