KT PerfecT on his Zaahen: "At this point, I think I'm the best"
KT Rolster toplaner PerfecT reflects on the 2-1 win over Hanwha Life Esports, rookie ADC FenRir's growth, and why he believes his Zaahen is the best in the world.

may once again emerge as the dark horse of the season’s final stretch. The team has secured a second consecutive victory, this time defeating Hanwha Life Esports, the reigning MSI 2026 champions. The 2–1 win puts KT in a strong position to secure a top-four finish in the Legend Group.
” Seung-min reflected on the team’s explosive start to the split, highlighting KT’s ability to elevate their level of play, particularly following Park "FenRir" Kang-jun’s arrival in the botlane, where he has exceeded expectations. PerfecT also addressed the team’s recent elimination from the KeSPA Cup just days ago, while he further commented on his Zaahen performance versus T1 earlier this week, noting that he remains undefeated with him throughout his career with a 9-0 record.
First, please share how you feel about today's win and your overall thoughts on the match.
Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min: "I thought our team had resilience, but I expected a tough match against Hanwha. But we ended up taking the third set pretty cleanly, so I'm really happy.
What do you think was the biggest factor in today's win?
PerfecT: When our form isn't great, I think our calls in fights can get a bit messy. But today, Cuzz (Moon Woo-chan) was leading things overall, so the calls felt more organized, and it felt like we were all working toward the same goal. I think that went really well.
You had a disappointing result in game 2. What do you think caused that loss?
PerfecT: I think we needed to play better early on. We should have fought well early and snowballed from there, but we lost too much momentum from the start. I think that was the reason.
Since the KeSPA Cup, there have been changes to the botlane, and you're now continuing to build synergy with FenRir. How has that process been?
PerfecT: FenRir is very bold. Usually, rookies can sometimes hesitate, but because the opposing ADCs are from strong teams, he's playing with a lot of confidence and showing good performances. I think that's really good.
What have you felt while playing alongside him and building that synergy?
PerfecT: FenRir seems really motivated. If he keeps making good plays in matches, I think he can become an incredible player someday. I'm cheering for him from beside him.
When watching KT's games right now, the teamwork looks really strong. From a player’s perspective, how far along is the team synergy right now?
PerfecT: Honestly, the top side has played together for so long that it doesn't really feel like we're still at the level where we need to build synergy. Cuzz usually sets the broad framework for how we should approach teamfights, so if each of us just focuses on our own role, it becomes easier. Because of that, I think our teamwork has improved a lot.
In your pro career, you actually haven't lost a single game on Zaahen yet. How do you see your own Zaahen?
PerfecT: At this point, I think I'm the best. I do watch other players, but I now think I'm the best myself, so I'm trying to focus more on my own play and learn that way when it comes to Zaahen.
What do you feel makes your Zaahen different from other players'?
PerfecT: I think I revive pretty often.
The current meta is quite chaotic, with botlane non-marksmen, ranged top champions, and even unique picks like Locked coming out. Do you think this kind of meta actually works in KT's favor?
PerfecT: For now, I can't really feel yet whether it's favorable or unfavorable for us. I think we'll need to play more to get a better sense of that.
Does this meta feel good for you personally?
PerfecT: Honestly, unless it's champions like Camille or Shen, mobile champions like that, I don't think toplane has that much impact right now. So for me, it feels about the same.
There have been some recent KT matches where the team seemed inconsistent. As you're competing in the Legend Group, what do you think KT needs to improve to reach the top?
PerfecT: When our team is in sync, we're really in sync, but when we're not, it feels like things fall apart much more drastically. I think we need to improve that low point.
How confident are you that you can reach the top?
PerfecT: Honestly, I already have a lot of confidence in myself. I wonder if it can get any bigger once I reach the top, but right now my confidence is already very high.
You were unfortunately eliminated from the KeSPA Cup, but you also showed champions like Tristana and Olaf for the first time in official matches. Through the KeSPA Cup, what was the biggest thing you gained?
PerfecT: To be honest, I don't think there was much. We were eliminated in such a helpless way. Still, I think that elimination gave our team a wake-up call.
At this KeSPA Cup, toplaners from LCK CL like Kwon "Jaehyuk" Jae-hyuk, Sim "Haetae" Su-hyeon, and Choi "Kangin" Kang-in showed good performances. Do you think those players are ready to stand on the LCK stage right now, or do you think they still have areas they need to improve?
PerfecT: They definitely have areas they're lacking in, but I think the higher the stage, regardless of whether the results are satisfying or not, you learn by standing there and playing. I think all of them are good enough in lane, so if they get a chance on a first team and things go well, they could become good players.
Then what do you think is the biggest difference between those players and the toplaners currently playing in the LCK?
PerfecT: I'm not completely sure, but if I had to guess, first-team players have played more matches, so they're more used to the setting, and they're less likely to make mistakes in the game. There are definitely good players coming up from CL, but they might get nervous, or outside factors might come into play, so they may not be able to play the way they want. I think that's the biggest thing.
If someone who doesn’t know you could watch just one match from your entire career, which one would you recommend?
PerfecT: I think I played pretty well on K'Sante in Game 3 of last year's Worlds final, so I'd recommend that.
Is there a particular reason why you chose this one?
PerfecT: I think I played really well back then.

PerfecT: As time goes by, it feels like our team is showing more and more unstable moments. Still, thank you for cheering for us. Our team is, well, our AD carry is a rookie, but we have a lot of experience, so I'm sure we'll keep improving. We'll show a better side and make it to Worlds."
