KT Rolster have made their first AD Carry change of the 2026 LCK season. Announced on Wednesday, KT Challengers botlaner Park "
" Kang-jun has been promoted to the team's main roster, with Kim "
" Ha-Ram moving to the bench. In a statement, the organization explained the decision: "
There were internal conflicts among the players during practice, which negatively affected the team's synergy. As a result, we made the team-level decision to change the starting AD carry."
FenRir is only in the third year of his professional career. After joining Dplus KIA Youth in 2024, he therefore quickly caught the attention of KT Rolster Academy, signing with the organization in 2025 and going on to win an LCK Academy Series title. The young ADC was being considered for a promotion to the LCK roster at the start of the year. However, KT ultimately opted to re-sign Aiming, sending the promising AD Carry to their Challengers squad.
Three supports
However, this is not FenRir’s first chance with the main KT team. Last December, FenRir represented KT at the KeSPA Cup and also featured in the 2026 edition held just a few days ago. He joined the lineup for the final day of the group stage and the opening round of the playoffs, but was unable to prevent KT Rolster's elimination. During the 2026 LCK Rounds 1–2, FenRir also made his first Tier 1 appearance, featuring in a single best-of-three against Nongshim RedForce.
Aside from that brief call-up, he spent the rest of the split competing in the Challengers League, helping KT finish third at the Asia Masters. One notable challenge throughout the year has been the constant rotation of his support partner. FenRir has had to alternate between Lee "
" Sang-ho, Oh "
" Dong-gyu, and Jang "
" Yong-jun, rarely having the opportunity to build long-term synergy with a single lane partner.
KT Aim to Find the Right Balance
KT Rolster continue to shake up their roster in the hope of finding some much-needed stability for the Summer Split and making a late push for a top-three finish in the LCK, which would secure a spot at the 2026 World Championship — though a top-four finish could also be enough
if MSI champions Hanwha Life Esports finish ahead of them. The support position finally appears to have settled down. After cycling through three different players over the course of the season,
Effort now looks set to remain the team's starting support for the rest of the year.
The AD Carry role, however, remains far less certain. Ghost,
who was recently demoted to the academy roster, has returned to his original role as an ADC in the Challengers team. Meanwhile,
Aiming has been benched, leaving
FenRir with the opportunity to prove himself starting on
Wednesday, July 29, against
T1.
As things stand, KT effectively have three different options at AD Carry. Whether more roster changes are still to come, or whether the FenRir–Effort botlane will become the team's long-term solution for the remainder of the season, remains to be seen.
