Team Falcons dismantle Spacestation Gaming to win the RLCS 2026 World Championship

After a gruelling lower bracket run, Team Falcons have won their first Rocket League 3v3 World Championship, triumphing over Spacestation Gaming 4-0 in the RLCS 2026 grand final in Fort Worth. They become the first team from the Middle East and Africa to win the World Championship, solidifying the region’s rise to the top and legacy in the Open Era. The twins Yazeed Abdullah "Kiileerrz" Bakhashwin and Yazeed Abdullah "Kiileerrz" Bakhashwin have become first-time World Champions, while Samy "dralii" Hajji lifts the trophy for a second time. Kiileerrz was named as the tournament Most Valuable Player.

Team Falcons made a big money move for dralii at the start of the season. The Moroccan, who won the World Championship in RLCS 2024, replaced long-time Falcons veteran Mohammed Khalid "trk511" Alotaibi ahead of RLCS 2026. While the team got off to a hot start, winning two Regional Opens and earning a top-four at the Boston Major, Team Falcons missed the Paris Major after an underwhelming domestic season. However, the team recovered in the months following, bringing a new look and energy to win the Esports World Cup, beating Spacestation Gaming for the first time.

They then came into the 2026 World Championship as one of the favourites but due to their domestic disappointments, had to start the event in the Play-In Stage. Early wins over FUT Esports and R8 Esports, set the tone for the team. They suffered their only defeat during the group stage to Karmine Corp, which forced the MENA side into the lower bracket of the Playoffs. A heroic lower bracket run followed, with a 4-1 win over FURIA, 4-1 win over Shopify Rebellion and a 4-1 win over NRG to reach the semi finals. Rematched against Karmine Corp, Team Falcons arguably won the tournament here, subduing the French titans in a 4-2 series. With Spacestation Gaming making it through the semi finals against FUT Esports, a repeat of the EWC grand finals was on the cards. Team Falcons decisively dismantled the young North American squad, winning the final with a 4-0 sweep.

Spacestation Gaming, who had reached their first LAN final at the EWC, had a very successful tournament despite the loss in the grand final. Powered by the high powered trio of João "diaz" Henrique, Jack "reveal" LeDuc, and Zachary "zach" Stone also came through the lower bracket. They defeated Twisted Minds, Gentle Mates, Virtus.pro and FUT Esports to make the finals. While Spacestation Gaming were hard done to not take a game off Team Falcons, the team were ultimately well beaten.
