League of Legends World Star Challengers Invitational 2026 playoffs stage is set in stone. Four LCK Challengers teams, three European Regional League teams and one North American team have made it to the Top 8 of the first-ever WSCI tournament. During t
he Group Stage, EMEA and LCK Challengers teams therefore proved that they are the two best regions and the ones to beat.
EMEA Masters Winter champions,
, are the only undefeated team at the event so far and are one of the favorites to win the tournament. Other teams like

The playoffs stage will be a single-elimination best-of-five bracket, with the winner being crowned on October 2 as the first WSCI champion and taking home a cash prize of $20,000. The first set of playoffs matches starts on September 27 with Solary vs
and DPlus KIA Challengers vs

What is the WSCI?
The World Star Challengers Invitiational is a brand new tournament designed to shine the spotlight on Academy and Tier 2 teams across all regions in LoL Esports. In essence, it can be treated as the T2 equivalent of the prestigious Worlds. A total of 16 teams took part in this inaugural edition, held in South Korea, but played online
Previously, this type of tournament was restricted to Asia and was held as the Asia Masters, where tier-two teams from Korea, China, and APAC participated. With an expanded format and more prominent teams participating, the inaugural WSCI tournament should hopefully serve as a positive boost for the Tier 2 LoL esports scene in the coming years.
The conclusion of this event will be the end of the year for most teams except Solary, Galions, and Movistar KOI Fénix. These three teams will still participate in the
EMEA Masters 2026 tournament.
