Ninjas in Pyjamas have parted ways with its
Rocket League roster featuring Joris "
Joreuz" Robben, Ole "
oaly." Doorn, Cristian "
crr" Raigal and head coach Lachlan "
LBP" Parker. The roster was formed by the organization in November 2025 ahead of the new RLCS. The team appeared at all five international LANs during RLCS 2026, peaking with a third-place finish at the Esports World Cup. The announcement comes at the height of the European offseason, with many teams and players waiting upon the
outcome of the rumoured Francophone super team. In the
announcement, NIP said that there will be “more news on our rebuild to share soon”.
Built around some of Europe's most consistent professionals with plenty of experience, NIP were a comfortable top-four team in the region during RLCS 2026. It initially began with a second-place finish in the first Regional Open to reach the Kick-Off Weekend, where they placed in the top-six. Their remaining performances that Split qualified the team to the Boston Major, where they achieved a mild top-eight finish after losing to Shopify Rebellion in the playoffs. Domestically, the team improved a lot during Split 2, earning another second-place in Regional Open 4 before capping off the domestic season with two more top four placements. A 9th-12th at the Paris Major, where the team continued a poor record against the Major regions, threatened to scupper the season but their best performance was right around the corner.
At the Esports World Cup, NIP earned some shock victories over Shopify Rebellion and Twisted Minds to reach the playoffs at the expense of other teams who had been more consistent on the international stage. They then defeated European rivals Gentle Mates 4-2 in the quarter finals before taking the young North American squad Spacestation Gaming to a seven-game series. Despite the loss, NIP secured third place with a 3-0 sweep over Paris Major champions Karmine Corp in the third-place decider, a stellar placement for a team that had not beaten anyone outside of Oceania, Asia-Pacific or Sub-Saharan Africa on LAN before the tournament.
The season was closed out at the RLCS 2026 World Championship, where there was new found hope that NIP could do some damage. However, tough losses versus FURIA and FUT Esports on day one proved to be the team’s downfall. While they managed to recover somewhat against Twisted Minds in their final match, taking the MENA first seed to five games, it was not enough to save them from a 13th-16th finish in the tournament. The organization is now expected to assess its options ahead of the
RLCS Club Championship have parted company with the RLCS 2026 roster.
