Team Liquid has just found a new duelist for the year 2026. Just after leaving
Team Heretics, Dominykas "
MiniBoo" Lukaševičius has just reached a verbal agreement to join the recent EMEA region champions, sources tell
Sheep Esports.
After two years with Team Heretics, MiniBoo leaves the Spanish team to join TL, who are making progress in this offseason. Despite interest from teams like
Evil Geniuses and
Natus Vincere, the player prioritized Team Liquid, who are strengthening themselves with a young and high-caliber player from the EMEA region. Team Heretics should have already replaced the player with
the arrival of Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk.
MiniBoo bounces a few weeks
after being allowed by Heretics to explore his options for next year. With his departure, it marks the end of a chapter for the Spanish team. Present at the club since the VCT EMEA 2024 Kickoff, notably alongside his brother Ričardas "
Boo" Lukaševičius, MiniBoo has been the team's duelist for two great years. Years marked by regional dominance, consistent performances, but never culminating in a VCT title win with Team Heretics. They will win the
Esport World Cup but will lose four finals in two, three of them in 2024, including of course the
Champions final.
Team Liquid, on the other hand, built a highly competitive team this year and climbed to the top of the rankings in every EMEA tournament. They even won Stage 2 by dominating GiantX 3-0 in the final. Despite this, the team does not perform well enough on the international stage. They are eliminated from the Champions without being able to get out of the Group Stage. The team was forced to make changes, notably with
the departure of Georgio “keiko” Sanassy to NRG.
Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko and Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski were also given the opportunity to explore their options.
With this first reinforcement, Team Liquid announces an aggressive lineup. With Kamil "kamo" Frąckowiak still on the team, TL could have a potential two-duelist team. A style of play that some teams are planning to move toward next year. MiniBoo will take on a new challenge and attempt to win his first European title with TL.
