ComeBack will succeed MiniBoo as Duelist
His journey in VCT EMEA is set to continue. Arriving as an emergency signing to try to salvage Gentle Mates’ 2025 season, Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk is now set to join Team Heretics, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. Just before the launch of the VCT Stage 2, he first won with M8 the BtcTurk GameFest. However, following this title, ComeBack and Gentle Mates struggled to find their footing in VCT EMEA, being eliminated from the second split without securing a single victory and enduring a string of frustrating defeats, including several... comebacks.
While his initial stint at the top level has yet to yield significant results, the Turkish/Bulgarian Duelist made his debut in the Tier 1 VCT league following repeated successes at the lower level. The young Turkish player joined the Tier 2 circuit in December 2023 with the Challengers League 2024 East Surge VCL, gradually working his way up through the leagues until he was spotted and recruited by one of the best Turkish teams, BBL Pacific. There, he established himself as a dominant force in the Tier 2 scene.
As Jett and Neon player, ComeBack indeed won every T2 tournament he participated in throughout 2025, including both splits of VALORANT Challengers Türkiye, and Challengers EMEA Stage 1. In 2024, he had already reached the finals of the VCT Ascension EMEA tournament, narrowly missing promotion to Tier 1 in a closely contested 2-3 series.
Aiming Higher
At Heretics, he will be tasked with succeeding Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius, whose departure was confirmed by the organization on October 9, following two seasons with the club. While Gentle Mates was an unstable project upon his arrival, Team Heretics offers a significantly more established environment for one of the region’s most promising Duelist prospects.
The Spanish organization has consistently ranked among the world’s top teams throughout the season. After reaching the finals of VCT EMEA Stage 1, TH won the second international event of the season, the Esports World Cup — with a reverse sweep in the grand final against Fnatic. Despite a less impressive domestic Stage 2, Team Heretics qualified for Champions and left a positive impression by emerging from their group 2-0. However, they fell short in the playoff bracket, ultimately finishing in 5th-6th place in the season’s premier competition.
