nAts and kamo will remain in the roster
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, after the departure of Georgio “keiko” Sanassy to NRG, Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko and Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski will also not be continuing with Team Liquid in 2026. The Polish player has already announced on social media that he is looking for a new project for next season, despite both his contract and the Russian Initiator’s running until the end of 2026.
This year, Team Liquid finally returned to the international stage after a 2024 season in which they did not attend a single LAN event. After falling to Team Vitality in the Kickoff grand final, Liquid qualified for Masters Bangkok, where the European squad failed to make it past the Swiss Stage following losses to EDward Gaming and G2 Esports. Back in Berlin, they struggled to regain momentum in Stage 1, as Team Heretics halted the Dutch organization’s run in the playoffs. A tough 3-0 defeat left Liquid in third place, though the team still secured a spot at Masters Toronto.
A strong momentum
In Canada, Liquid once again fell short in the Swiss Stage, suffering defeats to Bilibili Gaming and Paper Rex, and only managing a single win over MIBR. Meanwhile, they narrowly missed out on qualification for the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, falling just one match short of reaching the event. For Stage 2, the organization brought in trexx to replace Maikls “SerialKiller” Ždanovs, who joined from Vitality after what appeared to be a deep and irreparable rift.
Emerging as the top seed from the Omega group, Team Liquid gained momentum in playoffs, stringing together victories over GIANTX and BBL Esports before sweeping the Anglo-Spanish organization once again with an emphatic 3-0 in the grand final. Thanks to that result, Liquid punched their ticket to France for VALORANT Champions Paris 2025, where they were placed into Group C. It was a highly competitive pool featuring DRX, the reigning champions EDward Gaming and the future World Champions NRG Esports.
Defeated by the South Korean side in the decider match, the European roster concluded its competitive year with a 9th–12th finish. While three players are now gone, per sources, Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin and Kamil "kamo" Frąckowiak will remain in Liquid's roster for the upcoming season.
