M0nkey M00n" Rogez looks set to depart
Twisted Minds following the conclusion of
Rocket League Championship Series 2026. While he’s only expected to enter free agency at the end of the year, the two-time World Champion is prioritizing a return to Europe in the coming weeks. The 24-year-old enjoyed a return to form this past year competing for the organization, after departing Team Vitality at the end of RLCS 2025. With the current European offseason
locked in limbo by the potential formation of a super team, M0nkey M00n has every chance and the time to become a crucial piece in a new lineup ahead of the
RLCS Club Championship.
The 24-year-old chose to compete outside of Europe for the first time in RLCS 2026, joining Twisted Minds in September 2025 alongside former Team Falcons professional Mohammed Khalid "trk511" Alotaibi. They linked up with franchise star Hisham "Nwpo" Alqadi, who had been with the organization since departing Rule One in May 2024. The trio enjoyed domestic domination, winning three Regional Opens and surpassing Team Falcons as the first seed in MENA. They achieved their peak LAN result at the Paris Major, reaching the final after six wins in a row, but lost to a strong Karmine Corp squad 1-4.
The lineup’s form tailed off towards the end of the season. Following the Paris Major, they were knocked out by regional rivals Team Falcons in the quarter-finals of the
Esports World Cup. The team then struggled during the
2026 World Championship, reaching the playoffs but dropping a series versus weaker South American opposition FURIA during the group stage. Their season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs, where they lost to eventual finalists Spacestation Gaming 2-4.
The fallout from the event has caused relative upheaval in the MENA region. Multiple statements were released by staff members from Twisted Minds, eventually including stand-in coach Ahmed "
Senzo" Alrahmani. Senzo replaced Kais "
Sadjunior" Zehri after the Canadian was forced to withdraw from the World Championship due to personal circumstances. However, after a post-event stream criticising aspects of the team’s preparations for the tournament, he made a tweet
apologizing to Twisted management and fans. Other statements were deleted following the tweet but the situation proved untenable for the current roster. As a result, the organization is now conducting tryouts with a number of players as it considers its options over the offseason.
