Riot Games has announced the return of the virtual hip-hop band
True Damage, who will perform the 2026
League of Legends World Championship Anthem,
“Know My Name”. This will be the 13th Worlds Anthem, available on all major streaming platforms from
Thursday, October 8 at 3:00 am CET, alongside the premiere of the official music video on
League of Legends' official YouTube channel.True Damage return after seven long years
It has been seven years since Riot’s virtual band True Damage released their last single “GIANTS”, which has counted more than 230 million streams across all platforms. The collective brings together five in-game champions as artists, each with its own style and influence: SOYEON as Akali (Rapper), Coco Jones as Senna (Vocalist), Vic Mensa as Ekko (Rapper), Sofìa Reyes as Qiyana (Rapper and Vocalist), and Yasuo (DJ, Producer).
“The Worlds anthem is the music moment that League players look forward to the most each year, and with Worlds coming to New York this year, True Damage felt like the perfect artist to take on the anthem,” said Maria Egan, Global Head of Music at Riot Games.
“Much like our host city, True Damage has always been about bringing together distinct voices, styles, and cultures to create something unique and bigger than the sum of its parts. That spirit feels especially fitting for Worlds, where the best teams and players from around the globe come together to make their mark. For our most dedicated players and esports fans, the League Champs in our virtual bands are the superstars they most want to see on the Worlds stage.”
An essential part of Worlds
The first-ever Worlds anthem,
Warriors by Imagine Dragons, dates back to the 2014 edition and may still be the most iconic in the competition’s history to this day —
it is No. 1 on our tier list of Worlds anthems. Since then, Worlds Anthems have become an essential part of the
League of Legends World Championship experience, with Riot often using music to tell stories around players competing for the title.
For example, in 2023, “GODS” by NewJeans followed Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu's journey towards the Worlds 2024 trophy; in 2024, “Heavy is the Crown” focused on T1 defending their title. With Worlds 2026 taking place from October 15 to November 14 across Los Angeles, Allen, Texas and New York, “Know My Name” will now provide the soundtrack to another chapter of Worlds history.
