sarah” Simpson as a temporary stand-in for the Game Changers North America Stage 2 Finals in Los Angeles. She will be replacing Nicole “
Noia” Tierce, who is facing a personal emergency. Sarah previously played for the organization’s iconic GC team from late 2023 until her retirement in June earlier this year. With the squad, she secured two
Game Changers Championship in 2023 and 2024 and placed 2nd in 2025.
A huge blow to SRG
Sarah has already played with Alexis “alexis” Guarassi and Karnthida “dodonut” Chaisrakeo in the past. However, a sudden change in such a short span of time is undoubtedly a tough task for Shopify Rebellion Gold to overcome. Noia was the team’s star player throughout the entirety of Stage 2 with a 1.24 rating and 244 ACS.
It will also be interesting to see who picks up the Sentinel role on the squad with Noia being unable to play. None of the other players particularly lean towards playing Sentinels. While vanitas has played Vyse, they function more as a secondary Duelist for the team alongside dodonut. Sarah does have previous experience on Viper, but the lack of a dedicated Sentinel and a Chamber player in this meta will be a big hindrance for the side of Shopify Rebellion Gold.
Stage 2 finals and Game Changers Championship
Despite Noia’s absence, Shopify Rebellion Gold won’t lack the stage experience with the core of dodonut, alexis, and sarah. This is the first time that a
VALORANT Game Changers North America Stage finals takes place in a LAN environment, which should favor SRG in the match against FlyQuest RED. However, the role clashes and lack of time to get enough practice on SRG’s end should make this best-of-five a close affair between the best teams in the region.
The North America Stage 2 Grand Finals is also quite important for both teams, as the winner secures a direct slot at the 2026 Game Changers Championship in São Paulo from 22nd October to 1st November. The loser will have to battle their way through the Last Chance Qualifier, where MIBR GC and Akave Esports Black await them.
In the case that Shopify Rebellion Gold qualifies for the 2026 Game Changers Championship, it is unknown if sarah will remain with the team as a stand-in for the biggest Game Changers event of the year if Noia does not return.
