Riot Releases VALORANT Champions 2026 Anthem and Teases New Bundle

On Wednesday, Riot Games officially released the VALORANT Champions Shanghai anthem, titled “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” ahead of the tournament’s commencement on September 24. Apart from the anthem, the highly anticipated Champions 2026 bundle has also been teased in the song’s official music video. The publisher has also announced a partnership with Spanish luxury fashion brand Balenciaga, while revealing Pop Mart figures for VALORANT agents.

This year’s anthem sees fan-favourite music artist Grabbitz return to VALORANT, collaborating with Bring Me The Horizon lead vocalist Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox.

“If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” is Grabbitz’s fourth time working with Riot Games on a VALORANT Champions anthem, following previous bangers including “Die For You,” “Fire Again,” and “Ticking Away.” Sykes, meanwhile, previously worked with Kojima Productions on “Ludens,” which was created for Death Stranding in 2019. However, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” marks his first esports-focused project. Lastly, LaPlante was the voice behind 2XKO’s official cinematic theme song, “Ties That Bind,” and has now returned to the Riot Games universe, showcasing her genre-spanning vocal range once again.

The track blends Grabbitz’s electronic sound with the heavier styles associated with both Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox, making the collaboration a special one for Grabbitz. “The best collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective to the room - and that’s what makes this record so exciting to me,” the American artist stated.

The music video features a battle between Sage, who hails from China and American agent Viper, as the relationship between the two has become increasingly important to the game’s recent lore. Additionally, Omen and Sage are once again paired together to help each other, just like in the VALORANT Episode 6: Revelation cinematic.

Several returning VALORANT players from Champions 2024 are also part of the video, including Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto, Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, and Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk.

Fans can listen to “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, YouTube Music, and more. Moreover, just like previous editions of VALORANT Champions, a live performance of the song is expected to be part of the tournament’s Grand Finals Opening Ceremony.

As expected, the VALORANT Champions 2026 bundle will feature a Phantom skin, as showcased in the “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” official music video. While Riot Games has yet to reveal the full collection or its price, Anna Donlon, Head of VALORANT Studios, teased a fan melee before wrapping up the announcement video.

Each weapon skin will also have special visual effects and Champions-themed elements, similar to previous years’ bundles. Moreover, a portion of the skinline’s sales will go towards supporting VCT partner teams.

The VALORANT Champions 2026 bundle is expected to be available to purchase through the in-game store in the next few days, probably around the release of patch 13.06. However, keep in mind that it will only be available for a limited period and will not return to the store rotation or Night Market.
