Romain Bigeard has posted his usual end of the split tweet on X showcasing scrim results and other cool behind-the-scenes information about G2’s campaign in the Summer Split.
This was also the first scrims result tweet from Romain since
was appointed as the head coach for the team. In his tweet, Romain expressed that the Summer Split was the “riskiest split that G2 have played in a while” due to Perkz replacing former head coach
Dylan Falco.G2 Esports posted a total of 106 wins and 64 map losses for an overall 62.4% win rate across a total of 170 maps. Their toughest opponent and the only team they had a negative win rate against was
, with a 7-8 record. However, G2 comfortably defeated Vitality on stage in the first round of the Summer Split playoffs.
G2’s most played opponent in these scrims were
the team they dismantled 3-0 in the Summer Split finals to capture the organization’s 20th LEC title. G2 played 34 maps out of the 170 maps against MKOI and posted a 21-13 record with 7 of the losses coming just before MKOI’s fantastic lower bracket run. G2 also scrimmed against some of the top ERL teams like

The main focus for G2 is now to have a run that EU can be proud of at
Worlds 2026. The team placed 2nd at First Stand and 4th at MSI. All expectations points towards a playoffs appearance at minimum. However, G2 have failed to make it past the quarters since 2020.
With the West looking promising through the likes of LCS teams such as

G2 need to wave the EU flag high and mighty in American soil and at least earn a top 4 finish to instill hope in the region.
However, the team has notoriously has had bad luck with draws in the Swiss Stage and inconsistent performances. Worlds 2026 starts on October 15th but fans can see G2 in action on October 23rd as they are directly seeded in the Swiss Stage.
