LCS) Summer Split Playoff Upper Bracket has delivered several unexpected results, but the Loser’s Bracket easily eclipses them with banger after banger. After a
back-and-forth series between

, the former kept their Worlds dream alive after another 3-2 victory.
Unfortunately, there’s a loser for every victor, and FlyQuest were on the loser’s end today. However, this painful defeat doesn’t end the team’s season. Though the hope of qualifying for the
2026 World Championship must sting, the team will still taste the sweetness of international competition as North America’s first team to qualify for the
Demacia Cup Global Invitational.
Toe-to-toe Bout
The series was a true spectacle from start to finish. FlyQuest capitalized on Johnson “
" Le’s incredible Lee Sin performance to land the first punch of the series. However, the Rebels quickly hit back after Juan “
Contractz" García’s smart jungle pathing secured him an advantage he wouldn’t forfeit in Game 2.
The ultra-aggressive style that characterize both teams was on full display throughout the rest of the series. At one point, Shopify Rebellion could threaten to dive FlyQuest’s botlane, and then FlyQuest would punch back by invading Shopify’s jungle.
However, FlyQuest seemed to regress as the team repeated mistakes shown across the year. The dominant team that triumphed in Games 1 and 3 didn’t turn out to play in Games 4 and 5, which the Rebels used to their advantage to set the series’ pace and extend their playoff life by at least one more day.
Who has qualified for Demacia Cup?
Twelve teams in total will participate in the maiden edition of the Demacia Cup, but two teams still need to lock in their place. September 26th is the crucial date when the remaining two teams, one from North America and one from Brazil, will finalize the contestants.
The stakes couldn’t be higher between
CBLoL’s and
. The animosity between Pedro “
" Seixas and Eloy “
" Rodríguez and the possibility of falling between two stools make this a must-watch series. The loser qualifies for Demacia Cup, but the winner isn’t guaranteed a Worlds slot.
Later in the day, the up-and-coming Rebels will look to continue their Cinderella run against this year’s most dominant LCS team,
. From reaching the Loser’s Finals at MSI to possibly missing Worlds, LYON must find the answer to stop a surging Shopify.
The tournament is slated to run from October 3rd to October 17th, overlapping with the 2026 Worlds Play-In Stage. The best teams that just missed Worlds’ qualification will duke it out for early interregional bragging rights.
