KT Rolster are close to finalizing their roster for the 2027 season. According to sources familiar with the situation who spoke to
Sheep Esports, three players from BNK FEARX are expected to join the team: jungler
and the botlane duo of
and
. The Korean organization, which finished fifth in the 2026 LCK season, announced earlier this month that solo laners Gwak "
Bdd" Bo-sung and Lee "
PerfecT" Seung-min had re-signed through 2028.
Still under contract with BNK FEARX until November 16
The three players remain under contract with BNK FEARX until November 16, 2026, and have not yet been allowed by the organization to explore their options with other teams.
Nevertheless, the trio is expected to join KT Rolster once free agency begins in November. They will only be able to officially sign with the organization after their current contracts expire on November 16.
Despite the moves not yet being official, the expected changes have already had an impact on the market. AD Carry Nam "Diable" Dae-geun, for example, is now exploring options in China, with a potential move to the LPL on the table as few changes to the ADC position are expected among the LCK's top teams.
Similarly, KT Rolster jungler Mun "Cuzz" U-chan and the bot lane duo of Jung "Jiwoo" Ji-woo and Lee "Effort" Sang-ho are also expected to join different teams for the 2027 season.
Before settling on Taeyoon as their AD Carry, KT Rolster had also shown interest in World Champion Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu as the veteran explored a return to competitive play. However, Deft is still expected to join Nongshim RedForce in the LCK. Sheep Esports had not previously reported KT's interest in Deft, as the team was still competing at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational.
BNK FEARX, who were also competing at the
Demacia Cup Global Invitational, won the tournament on Saturday, defeating Chinese side Team WE 3-1 in the final. Notably, in the semifinals, the three BNK FEARX players expected to join KT Rolster eliminated their future team. The trio was already expected to move to KT at the time, with Taeyoon and Raptor putting in particularly impressive performances.
Can KT return to Worlds next year?
With these new additions, KT will be looking to improve on a season in which they failed to qualify for Worlds. Despite reaching the World Championship final in 2025, KT made several roster changes, particularly in the bot lane, with Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram returning to the team. Effort joined in April as the team's third support of the year, following the departure of the previous options, neither of whom had proved successful after the LCK Cup.
When Aiming left ahead of the second half of the season, Jiwoo was brought in as his replacement. However, the new pairing weakened the team's performances, and KT struggled to compete with the league's top sides.
Raptor and Kellin, meanwhile, made an excellent start to the season, qualifying for First Stand with BFX. After a dip in form midway through the year,
the exchange of AD Carries between Nam "Diable" Dae-geun and Taeyoon breathed new life into the team. Although BFX managed to challenge both T1 and Dplus KIA in the playoffs, they were unable to overcome either side. The sixth-placed LCK team thus ended the year on the strongest possible note under the circumstances, only to lose three members of its roster in the process.
With these additions, KT Rolster are refreshing their lineup with players who have shown stronger recent form. They will have a younger jungler with plenty of room to develop, alongside a bot lane duo that should offer greater stability and consistency.
KT Rolsterâs 2027 LCK expected roster:
- Toplaner: Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min
- Jungler: Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin
- Midlaner: Gwak "Bdd" Bo-sung
- AD Carry: Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon
- Support: Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu
