The League of Legends Pro League (LPL) Split 3 is nearing its conclusion, with the Grand Finals already underway, giving one of the worldâs most prestigious leagues the opportunity to hand out its end-of-year awards. Unsurprisingly, Zhuo âKnightâ Ding was named Split MVP, Moon âAboutâ Hyeong-seok was named Rookie of the Year, while Bilibili Gamingâs coaching staff was voted Coaching Staff of the Year.
As for the All-Pro Teams, Top Esportsâ young toplaner Cheng âZUIANâ Zi-Hao makes the cut, alongside the ever-reliable Anyoneâs Legend Lee âTarzanâ Seung-yong in the jungle and, unsurprisingly, Knight in the midlane. BLGâs dominance continues in the botlane, with Park âViperâ Do-hyeon at AD Carry and Luo âONâ Wen-Jun at support.
The Other All-Pro Teams
The Second All-Pro Team is more diverse, featuring JD Gamingâs Xu â
â Xing-Zu in the toplane, BLGâs Peng â
â Li-Xun in the jungle, Anyoneâs Legendâs Cui â
Shanksâ Xiao-Jun in the midlane, and Top Esportsâ Yu â
JackeyLoveâ Wen-Bo in the botlane, supported by Anyoneâs Legendâs Kim â
Kaelâ Jin-hong.
The Third All-Pro Team is made up of Invictus Gamingâs Kang âTheShyâ Seung-lok in the toplane, LGD Gamingâs Yang âHengâ Cui-Heng in the jungle and Lin âTangyuanâ Yu-Hong in the midlane, and JD Gamingâs botlane duo of Chen âGALAâ Wei and Zhao âVampireâ Zhe-Can.
A Well-Deserved Award for Knight
BLGâs Chinese midlaner has been one of the best players in the world for several years now. The reigning First Stand champion, a three-time defending LPL champion, and the runner-up at the Mid-Season Invitational after falling to Hanwha Life Esports, Knight is undoubtedly going through one of the best periods of his career and will now be looking to finally claim his first Worlds title later this year.
He leads the league in kills across all roles (6.1 per game), ranks second among midlaners in KDA (5.4), and leads the role in CS per minute (9.2). He has won every major trophy there is to win except one, the biggest of them all, the Worlds title. And this year could very well be the one. The
LCK appears somewhat less dominant this year, while BLGâs dominance in the LPL is reminiscent of JDG and Knightâs golden year in 2023.
