"Nisqy was a midlaner, so I thought that he had to be a good support, but I couldn't have been more wrong"
Fighting for their lives, Team Vitality secured a crucial victory against SK Gaming in Évry-Courcouronnes during the Week 7 Roadtrip of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2025 Spring Season. Now having to play tiebreakers against Team Heretics for a shot at playoffs, Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság joins Sheep Esports for an exclusive interview to discuss his time in France, his relation with Vladi, the evolution of Nisqy, and his future.
How did it feel getting your fourth win in Évry in front of such a huge crowd? You haven't qualified yet as you may need to play tiebreakers, but you are putting yourself in a good spot for playoffs right now.
Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság: "It was really nice. Even if the majority of fans were rooting for Karmine Corp, it was a lot of fun. Regarding tiebreakers, I'm just happy we could have a good performance on a big stage like this. We played fine League of Legends in our match against SK Gaming, and I hope people enjoyed watching us, since there were a lot of fighting. So yeah, overall, I feel quite good.
Everyone on your team has some stage experience, right? Even Naak Nako and Czajek played in the LFL before. But was it stressful for anyone to be on stage in front of such a big crowd, or did it just feel like another day at the office?
Carzzy: To be fair, don't feel like anyone was stressed. All of our rookies played on stage already—even Nisqy, the biggest rookie—so it was pretty smooth.
Do you think today went better than yesterday because you had less time to flirt with Vladi this time around?
Carzzy: For sure. I mean, I still was with Vladi in the evening before the match, and he gave me the boost I needed, you know. So that was great.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday before the match—Nisqy had a bit of an "altercation" with Vladi in front of the elevator. It seems like there’s a lot of friendships between your two teams, right?
Carzzy: We are quite friendly together. Everyone is kind of friendly with Vladi in our team, especially Nisqy and I. It's simply because we are like clowns, you know, so it's easy to connect with each other.
After a split with Nisqy, how do you feel about his integration into the team and his evolution?
Carzzy: I'd say Nisqy is doing good. He's improving quite fast. He's enjoying the role, so that is always nice, because I don't think he was enjoying midlane so much—he was not so good on it anymore, you know [laughs]. Everyone is supportive of him playing because we understand that he’s new to the role, so we are all trying to help him in some ways and make it easier for him on stage. Sometimes there's a little bit of micromanaging maybe, but not that much. We are trying to limit that, because then he improves slower if we try to tell him what to do. And usually, we don't even tell him what to do that’s right—we tell him some shit, and then he runs it down.
What has been the biggest difference between playing with him and playing with Hylissang?
Carzzy: The biggest difference between these two players? Nisqy is trying to listen to our calls more than Hylissang, you know. Hyli was playing his own game more, and Nisqy listens and follows our calls.
Did you have a say in the decision to replace Hylissang?
Carzzy: It was not my idea for Nisqy to swap to bot. I knew something had to change in the team. The reason wasn't really our botlane's performance, because I think Hyli and I were quite good together. It was mainly because of team environment and team play. I was down to give Nisqy a try because there weren't any other good supports on the market. He was a midlaner before, so I thought that he had to be a good support, but I couldn't have been more wrong; I expected way more from Nisqy. But yeah, in the end, it was a coaching staff decision. I mean, it's not like I went to someone and told them that we should kick Hylissang.
You've been seen as one of the most stable ADCs in the league, and despite interest from big teams, you’ve stuck with Vitality. What keeps you with this roster, and what do you think it can achieve by the end of the year?
Carzzy: The main reason why I'm here is because there are people that I like to work with, and I know I'm gonna enjoy my time if I work with them—which helps me play the best. That is the most important for me: to be in a place where I can trust people and where they know how I work. Because I'm not gonna do some crazy stuff that I find useless—then I'm gonna play worse because I'm not interested in doing that. Our goal is to reach Worlds. That is like the biggest goal, and I think we can do it.

Given your current form, do you think Vitality can make it to Worlds? Everyone is looking at the top four—KC, G2, FNC, and KOI—and right now, a lot of people aren't considering Vitality, despite a good match against KC yesterday.
Carzzy: I don't think we are playing like a team that deserves to go to Worlds, for sure. We have a lot to improve on. I think it's going to start showing in the Summer Split.
Are there any specific areas you think need improvement, or is it more of a general issue?
Carzzy: Our mid-game is kind of bad, so that is the biggest point I'd say.
What do you think is the reason for that?
Carzzy: I cannot add anything to this, I'm sorry. [giggles and looks at Naak Nako next to him jokingly]
You've been in the LEC for a while now. At 23, where do you see yourself in one or two years?
Carzzy: As long as I find the game fun, I'll be good. I'll always be around top four, I'd say. But the moment I stop having fun, God bless. I don't know what's gonna happen.
How fun is the game for you right now?
Carzzy: It's kind of boring, not gonna lie.
Is it more fun when you're duo queuing with DonJake in Emerald?
Carzzy: Yeah, duo-queuing with DonJake and trying to boost him is so much fun. [laughs]
Do you have any closing thoughts, especially after seeing all the Golden Hornets and Vitality fans in the arena?
Carzzy: I'm really happy that they came and shouted their lungs out. It made us all very happy. I’m just glad they came and fought the KC fans, who were like, I don’t know how many times more people than them. Thank you, Vitality fans."
