Among those 14 wins, Knight has beaten the likes of Faker, Zeka, Caps, Rookie, and Creme
In Game 3 between Bilibili Gaming and Movistar KOI during the MSI Main Stage, Chinese midlaner Zhuo "Knight" Ding picked Sylas and secured the win, marking his 14th consecutive victory on the champion. Knight hasn’t lost a single game on Sylas since February 15, 2023, back when he played for JD Gaming, when he faced EDward Gaming and their Taiwanese midlaner Chu "FoFo" Chun-Lan. This win streak could extend further during MSI, as BLG will face T1 in the Upper Bracket Round 2 on July 6 at 2 AM CET.
Since his streak begun with a win against FunPlus Phoenix in Spring 2023, Knight has won every single game on Sylas — doing so with two different teams, JDG and BLG, and across multiple tournaments. In the LPL, he notably defeated Lin "Creme" Jian, Song "Rookie" Eui-jin, and Cui "Shanks" Xiao-Jun. At the 2024 Worlds Main Event, he used Sylas to take down Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, Rasmus "Caps" Winther, and Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo. He also picked up wins at MSI 2023 against T1, and now most recently in Vancouver against MKOI.
Sylas at the peak of Worlds
Knight’s wins on Sylas haven’t come against low-tier LPL teams. The BLG midlaner played Sylas in Game 1 of the 2024 Worlds Grand Final, facing down T1 and Faker’s Yone, finishing with a 4/0/11 score and leading damage in the game. He played a key role in that opening game during the final, which BLG ultimately went on to lose 3-2. Among his 12 most played champions, Sylas has the highest win rate for Knight — an insane 79.2% over more than 50 games, a remarkable stat for a difficult-to-master champion with uncommon draft angles.
Across the LPL, LCK, MSI, and Worlds, according to gol.gg, Knight is the player with the highest winrate on the champion, just ahead of Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, who has played him more, but holds "only" a 74.6% winrate. Behind these two giants is Lee "Scout" Ye-chan, with an over 72% winrate across 47 games. Heo "ShowMaker" Su and Zeka complete the top 5, both just under 70%. Sylas often appears at MSI, and is generally more popular in the LPL than in the LCK.
