On Tuesday,
VALORANT Esports announced the launch of a brand-new Twitch extension called Shotcall, which will debut on the official
channels of the VCT Americas tournament. From Friday, 8 August 2025, fans can participate in four beta sessions to make live predictions during matches, earning points and climbing the fan leaderboard with correct calls (map outcomes, clutch plays, etc.). This desktop-only feature is integrated directly into the livestream experience via a red crystal ball icon that fans click to sign in with their Riot ID.
Once tuned into any of the three official VCT Americas Twitch channels, fans can activate Shotcall by hovering over the video player and clicking the crystal ball icon. Predictions for upcoming rounds or match moments will appear overlaid on the stream. Correct guesses earn points and improve your position on the leaderboard. While Shotcall is still in beta, the Riot team encourages fans to provide feedback via Twitch chat and post-map surveys as the experience evolves.
Shotcall Fridays will give fans a preview of the extension in four limited beta events:
Plans for future expansion include additional leagues and localisation in multiple languages. As the product is still in the early stages of development, the occasional bug is to be expected, warns Riot. Any feedback you can provide will help shape its rollout.
