Last two teams Zicssi played for have exited League of Legends
Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo is set to join Solary in the LFL, sources tell Sheep Esports on Sunday. The French jungler will succeed Mark "Markoon" van Woensel, who spent the year with the team d’amis. Zicssi will be leaving Gentle Mates, who—as previously reported by Sheep Esports—will no longer be competing in League of Legends next year.
Zicssi is coming off a full year with M8. Joining at the start of the season, the team had a solid showing in the Flash In group stage, though things went downhill in the Swiss Stage. The Spring Split brought better results, with a third-place finish that earned them a spot at the EMEA Masters.
There, M8 knocked out GIANTX Prime in the Round of 16 before falling to Barça eSports in the quarterfinals. Back in the LFL for Summer, the team once again finished in the top tier with another third-place run but were eliminated in the Round of 16 by German side ROSSMANN Centaurs in the EMEA Masters.
A rebuild for SOLARY
All five Solary players are set to reach the end of their contracts on November 17, 2025. The organization is preparing for a complete rebuild of its roster, though Head Coach Danny “Dan Dan” Le Comte will remain in charge. The recent arrivals of Team Manager “Uko” and Scout “Blazzios” reflect a new direction in Solary’s approach to team building.
While Zicssi is the first player confirmed for the new lineup, the final roster is expected to feature a blend of established veterans and emerging or relatively unknown talents.
A difficult 2025
Once again this year, the Solary project failed to bear fruit. The team qualified for the LFL playoffs three times, but none of those runs led to an EMEA Masters appearance. They finished third in the Flash-In—just short, as the league only sent two representatives. A major blow came in Spring with a seventh-place finish, followed by a fifth place in Summer, falling one best-of-five short of qualification after a clean sweep loss to Zicssi’s M8.
The roster looked solid on paper: three former LEC players with Felix "Kryze" Hellström in the toplane, Mark "Markoon" van Woensel in the jungle, and Mertai "Mersa" Sari as support. Add to that Nicolas "Decay" Gawron in mid, entering his second year in a row with the club, and Belan "TakeSet" Ahour who returned in Summer 2024 in the botlane. The roster had potential, and fans believed in it — but it ended in yet another disappointment.
Solary's reported 2026 Winter roster:
- Top: TBD
- Jungle: Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo
