Jun told GIANTX he was willing to stay on the team and not join Fnatic
One of the biggest dominoes in the LEC has just fallen (or not). Yoon "Jun" Se-jun will remain as GIANTX’s support in 2026, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. This means he'll team up with Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek in the botlane for a third consecutive season, despite being approached by Fnatic, Team BDS, and Natus Vincere.
Do you believe the GIANTX project can break its ceiling in 2026?
Although Jun was already under contract with the Spanish organization through 2026, his future became a hot topic in recent discussions. After Fnatic's Worlds 2025 elimination, GIANTX considered acquiring Iván "Razork" Martín as their new jungler. Fnatic responded with a trade proposal involving Jun, but after some deliberation, GIANTX declined. Team BDS and NAVI also showed interest, but Jun expressed his desire to stay with GX rather than joining those teams. Fnatic later submitted a six-figure formal offer, which GX also turned down, locking in Jun.
Same team, same story
With GIANTX securing their support despite heavy LEC interest, three other players from the 2025 project are also set to stay: Eren "Lot" Yıldız, Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek, and Noah. They will also remain under Head Coach André "Guilhoto" Guilhoto and Assistant Coach Rúben "rhuckz" Barbosa, highlighting the will from the organization to keep relying on their 2025's performances.
GIANTX never broke into the top four of the standings and remained in fifth place through all three 2025 splits. Still, their LEC rivals often described them as a strong scrim team. Jun’s decision to stay also suggests he preferred continuing with GIANTX's project rather than returning to Fnatic, a team he previously played for and reached Worlds with in 2024.
With four players locked in, only the jungle position remains uncertain. After the Razork plan fell through, Ismaïl "ISMA" Boualem could continue as the team’s jungler as he was the organization's second option, though GIANTX previously allowed him to explore his options while trying to acquire Razork.
