The American Head Coach will look to continue his winning ways during his second tenure with Flyquest
FlyQuest has attached Thomas “Thinkcard” Slotkin atop of their coaching staff, sources share with Sheep Esports. The American Head Coach is returning for the 2026 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Season after a year coaching Furia in LTA South.
After being eliminated during Swiss Stage at Worlds 2025, LTA Split 3 Champions Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik Holm and Alfonso “Mithy” Rodríguez’s contracts to expire on November 10 according to the League of Legends Global Contract Database, and their future remains uncertain.
Furia still had Thinkcard under contract for the upcoming 2026 CBLoL season, but both parties mutually parted ways three weeks ago, thus making him available to sign to Flyquest.
Third time's the charm?
During his past tenure in the LCS, Thinkcard was able to deliver a championship and a Worlds Quarter-final appearance to NRG in 2023. This season, with a roster full of Brazilians, he won LTA South Split 2 and qualified for MSI.
This is not the first time FlyQuest will be led by the former professional player. Way before franchising, Cloud9 Challenger achieved promotion to the 2017 LCS Season with Thinkcard. FlyQuest swooped in and acquired both the roster and coaching staff.
Big Shoes to Fill
Thinkcard will have a formidable challenge ahead. Nukeduck became head coach in 2024 and quickly positioned the organization in an LCS Final, which they lost. Mithy joined for Summer Split, as they delivered FlyQuest their first championship, and reached the quarterfinals at Worlds.
Both the Norwegian and the Spaniard were resigned for 2025, where they were able to win both Split 2 and Split 3, and took Best Coaching Staff in both tournaments.
