Jool comes from a split in CBLOL and will compete in the LFL for the first time
Kang “Jool” Dong-su is not done with travelling overseas. After a journey through several international leagues, the South Korean midlaner is preparing for a new chapter in Europe, joining Solary ahead of the LFL 2026 season, according to sources close to Sheep Esports.
Jool is, in a sense, continuing his world tour. A true globetrotter of the professional scene, he began his career in the Korean amateur circuits before making his way to the LCK Challengers League in 2021 with Dplus KIA, sharing the roster with names like Kim “Chasy” Dong-hyeon and Choi “Lucid” Yong-hyeok.
Before securing Jool, Solary had attempted to sign GIANTX Pride midlaner Jeong “Feisty” Seong-hoon. The South Korean player came close to joining the team, but ultimately accepted a strong salary offer from Los Grandes in CBLOL Division 2. Although Solary lost a potential recruit to Brazil, they are effectively gaining one back with Jool arriving from LOUD. Prior to finalizing this move, Solary had also considered midlaner Cengizhan “Mercy9” Teker.
A return to EMEA
He made a name for himself in the Turkish scene, representing Dark Passage and BoostGate Esports across multiple splits. His journey then took him to Latin America, where he played for LOUD in the LTA South during Split 3, finishing in fourth place. Jool’s arrival in France marks his next step, joining a Solary roster that already includes Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu and Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo, as previsouly reported, under the guidance of head coach Danny "Dan Dan" Le Comte, who remains with the team for next year.
Jool’s recent performances have shown both promise and areas for improvement. He peaked at 1,194 LP on the Korean solo queue ladder this year, playing primarily Orianna, Syndra, Yone, and Ryze — champions that have become recurrent in his recent picks. During his last split with LOUD, his statistics reflected some struggles in the laning phase, with a gold differential of -203 at 15 minutes and an average of 8 CS per minute, ranking seventh lowest among midlaners in the league.
Solary's reported roster for 2026:
- Top: TBD
- Jungle: Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo
- Mid: Kang "Jool" Dong-su
- ADC: Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu
- Support: TBD
- Head Coach: Danny “Dan Dan” Le Comte
