G2 Esports x Nord Esports partnership for the ERLs have selected their staff
Nicolas Perez is set to join G2 Esports Academy in the Prime League as Head Coach, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday. The French coach will lead G2’s academy project in its first iteration, working alongside Sergei "Seryy" Dvoryanov as Assistant Coach and Nick "BliZarD" Varoß as Team Manager.
G2 Esports is indeed in the process of building an academy team, and it seems that they are set on joining the German ERL. This new team is also the result of a merger with NORD Esports, which will leave the NLC in order to handle G2 Esports' Academy team. While they have now chosen their staff, the team is still in the process of building its player roster, with promising talents from Germany and abroad.
To Shape a Development-Focused Academy
The coaching staff is therefore taking shape before the roster itself. Nicolas Perez was previously an Assistant Coach for GIANTX in the LEC, after having served as Head Coach for their academy roster. His past experience also includes stints with NORD Esports in the NLC, GameWard in the LFL, and even Kameto Corp at its creation.
Youth development and the future of Europe are recurring themes for Nicolas Perez, whether in interviews or in his posts on X. He will now put words into action by taking charge of the academy project of Europe’s biggest organization. Beyond his well-known Discord server—where he promotes young talents, mentors them, and helps guide their career development—this new role marks a natural continuation of his commitment to shaping the next generation of players.
Nicolas will be joined by Seryy, formerly the Head Coach of Project Conquerors in LFL Division 2, where he won the Winter Split with İbrahim "Gakgos" Samet Bulut in the toplane—now competing in the LCS with FlyQuest. Rounding out the staff is BliZarD, Team Manager for Ici Japon Corp Esport in 2025 and previously Team Du Sud. The German manager has worked across numerous ERL organizations, including Entropiq, Mirage Elyandra, and Resolve.
The team has already been active during the offseason in its search for players. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, Isa "Xagog" Arda Dagli is joining Eintracht Spandau after turning down an offer from G2 Academy. The organization is expected to move quickly, with more reports to follow. The team has been proactively trying out German players in the past weeks, but the final roster is also expected to field young talents from abroad.
