Three upcoming projects to financially support one of France’s oldest esports organizations
This Wednesday, Solary released a video offering full transparency about their unexpected difficulties while setting up their new headquarters. Construction work has led to over €200,000 in additional costs, putting the immediate viability of the project at risk. To overcome this, Solary is launching a series of community-driven initiatives, including sales, charity events, and sponsored campaigns, to secure the necessary funding while staying true to the spirit of sharing that has defined them for over seven years.
The real estate project was designed to provide a solid foundation for their activities — content creation, hosting projects like bootcamps, and diversifying their productions. However, things quickly became more complicated than expected. Initially, a €1 million loan had been secured, supplemented by 10% in equity to cover unforeseen expenses. But the reality of the construction work proved much more demanding than anticipated.
Unexpected Expenses
Among the heaviest unforeseen costs was the destruction and rebuilding phase inside the building — an essential but unplanned operation — costing €45,000. On top of that, a structural issue arose: the building wasn't strong enough to support an additional floor, requiring the installation of three support slabs for an extra €40,000. These two major expenses, along with other logistical and technical adjustments, resulted in over €200,000 in additional costs, most of which must be paid before summer. And this figure doesn't even include essential comfort needs such as heating and air conditioning, which alone would add another €150,000.
Three projects in the next few months
The first initiative is a major clearance sale on May 29 entitled "La Grande Braderie", in partnership with an auction app. Solary will be selling iconic items from their history: consoles, PCs, prototype jerseys, accessories used on set, and surplus merchandise in the form of discounted mystery packs. This event aims both to help fund part of the construction work and to declutter their old offices ahead of the move.

The second project marks the return of the “All Stream Under One Roof” format — a special event where Solary streamers from all their channels come together under one roof for several days of intense content creation. A sponsor will support this operation: the more viewers engage with the streams and the partner game, the more revenue it will generate for Solary. The goal is to deliver strong, community-driven entertainment while providing direct financial support to the organization.

Lastly, the third initiative, called the “Hess Event,” is set for late summer or back-to-school season. Over three days, the Solary League of Legends, Fortnite, and Hearthstone channels will stream 24/7, featuring the return of classic formats like "Les Etoiles de L'Esport", "TeamTard", and other esports and entertaining shows. Special guests may also appear. This event will be supported through donations, Twitch subscriptions, and a new dedicated merchandise line.

Through these initiatives, Solary hopes not only to close the financial gap but also to strengthen its bond with the community, without whom this journey wouldn’t be possible.
