Tatu was named Rookie of the Year
After the LTA North, it’s now the South Conference’s turn to announce its split MVPs as well as the Rookie of the Year. The new major league from Riot Games, composed mainly of Brazilian teams from the former CBLOL along with two Argentine teams, will be represented at the Worlds by at least one team: the split champions Vivo Keyd Stars, and potentially also the RED Canids, who secured a 3-2 victory over Shopify Rebellion.
The Vivo Keyd Stars were by far the strongest and most dominant team of the split, with four out of five players making the first All-Pro Team: Pedro "Disamis" Gonçalves in the jungle, former Gentle Mates midlaner Jeong "Mireu" Jo-bin, Brazilian AD Carry Matheus "Morttheus" Motta, and LEC Polish support Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus. The only player from another team was toplaner Francisco "fNb" Natanael Braz do Espirito Santo Miranda from the Red Canids.
More diversity in the other teams
The second All-Pro Team was dominated by the RED Canids, featuring Raí "DOOM" Yamada, Argentine midlaner Lucas Sebastian "Kaze" Fé, and José Eduardo "frosty" Leal Pacheco. The team was rounded out by Alexandre "TitaN" Lima dos Santos from paiN Gaming and Felipe "Boal" Boal from VKS.
As for the third team, it included two LOUD players: Leonardo "Robo" Souza and Ygor "RedBert" Freitas. The midlane spot went to South Korean Jo "Roamer" Woo-jin from paiN, with Guilherme "Rabelo" Rabelo Muniz from RED as the AD Carry, and Pedro "Tatu" Seixas, the only FURIA player, in the jungle role.
Tatu, the sensation of the year
Tatu is not only the jungler of the third team but also the Rookie of the Year in LTA Sul. Despite a difficult Split 1 for FURIA, the team dominated Split 2 with a 3-0 victory in the grand final against paiN Gaming. At the Mid-Season Invitational, they didn’t manage to get past the Play-In stage but pushed both G2 Esports and GAM Esports to five games each, delivering spectacular matches that left a strong impression on fans following the start of the MSI. During the EWC Play-In, they even eliminated Cloud9 from the competition, showcasing that the South LTA region can compete with its northern neighbor. Throughout all these best-of series, Tatu was often brilliant, showing remarkable skill at just 19 years old.
