The winner between BLG and AL will qualify for MSI
Anyone's Legend takes down Weibo Gaming 3-1 in the Upper Bracket semifinals and will encounter Bilibili Gaming, who defeated Top Esports last Monday, in the Upper Bracket Final. It’s a high-stakes series in the LPL, with the winner becoming the first Chinese team to qualify for MSI 2025. Today, the pandas outclassed Weibo and lived up to their status as the second seed from the regular season.
AL picks up another win
After their loss, Weibo drops to the Lower Bracket, where they will face the winner of FunPlus Phoenix vs. Invictus Gaming on Wednesday, June 4. The series opened with a strong showing from Anyone’s Legend, as Li "Flandre" Xuan-Jun dominated on Yorick — currently one of the top picks in Asia’s toplane meta. Flandre topped the damage charts and helped his team take the first win. Weibo responded in Game 2, with Chen "Breathe" Chen holding his own on Ambessa and Gao "Tian" Tian-Liang delivering a world-class performance on Skarner to even the series.
Game 3 was a turning point, as Cui "Shanks" Xiao-Jun delivered a flawless performance on Sylas, finishing 8/0/11 with over 86% kill participation. The fourth and final game was the longest, clocking in at over 38 minutes. Drafting became trickier under the fearless draft format, but AL adapted better. Once again, Shanks led the charge with 100% KP and a near 6,000 gold lead over his lane opponent at the end of the game, sealing the 3-1 victory and securing AL’s spot in the Upper Bracket Final.
Weibo's eyes are now set on the June 4 match, where FPX meets IG for a chance to join Weibo. The following day, Team WE and JD Gaming will clash to qualify for the Lower Bracket quarterfinals against Top Esports. Meanwhile, AL just joined BiliBili Gaming and will face face them on Monday, June 9, at 11 AM CET for a chance to get to their first MSI ever.
