The LCQ will be held from September 23 to 25
The final stretch of the European Tier 2 League of Legends season is about to begin. Riot Games revealed on Tuesday the group compositions for the EMEA Masters Last Chance Qualifier, running from September 23 to 25. Sixteen teams have been divided across four groups. Vitality Bee (LFL #4), Crvena zvezda Esports (EBL #2), aNc Legends (LIT #3), and Nightbirds (Hipoint #3) make up Group A.
Group B features Rich Gang (NLC #3), mCon esports (ROL #3), FN Esports (AL #3), and Forsaken (RL #3). Group C consists of Veni Vidi Vici (SL #4), FlameHard (LPLOL #3), Beşiktaş Esports (TCL #4), and ZennIT (ROL #2). Finally, Group D brings together Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition (PL #4), SPIKE Syndicate (EBL #3), GMBLERS Esports (LIT #3), and Team Insidious (HLL #3).
Only the winners advance to the Main Event
Each group will be played in a single-elimination bracket format, beginning with two best-of-three semifinals, followed by a best-of-five final. Only the winner of each group will advance to the Main Event, which will feature a total of 32 teams and kick off on September 29. After the Swiss Stage and the playoffs, the EMEA Masters Grand Final is set for November 2 at Paris Games Week, one of France’s largest gaming conventions.
Riot Games has also released the full schedule for each group. The opening semifinals of Groups A and B will be played on September 23 at 5 p.m. CEST, followed by the second semifinals at 8 p.m. CEST. The finals for those groups will take place on September 24 at 5 p.m. CEST, running concurrently with the first semifinals of Groups C and D. Their second semifinals will be played three hours later, at 8 p.m. CEST. Finally, the finals for Groups C and D are scheduled for September 25 at 5 p.m. CEST.
