A perfect game to open the series, and a pentakill for Booshi to close it out
Uncontested victory for BK ROG against Ici Japon Corp. BKR sweeps the vice-champions IJC 3-0, eliminating not only the Flash In runners-up but also the EMEA Masters Winter Split finalists. BKR will now face Vitality.Bee this Friday in the LFL Playoffs for a spot in the top 3, synonymous with qualification for the EMEA Masters Spring.
BKR becomes the second team in these playoffs to continue its run after coming from the Last Chance Qualifier, following VITB’s win over Galions this Tuesday. It’s yet another symbol of the inconsistency in competitive level between all teams throughout this intense Spring Split in the LFL, where every team can beat the other at any given moment.
"L'art et la manière"
The series hit like a thunderclap — few would have predicted such a decisive 3-0. Yet from the opening game, the showdown delivered top-tier action. BKR opened the best-of-five with a perfect game never before seen in the league: they conceded zero kills, towers, plates, dragons, or grubs. The game ended in 30 minutes, crushing the spirits of the five IJC players.
Game 2 saw IJC fight back, quickly taking a 6k gold lead. However, they were soothed into a false sense of security by BKR, who pulled off an audacious and sneaky Baron call at 25 minutes. This allowed them to scale, stabilize, and regain control of the game. From then on, they denied all neutral objectives and completed the comeback at 37 minutes. With multiple key pick-ups giving them back the tempo of the game, BKR landed a second heavy blow to a now-dazed IJC.
Game 3 was more contested but followed a similar path. BKR simply looked stronger. Théo "Booshi" Mouchiroud claimed his first-ever pentakill in his rookie LFL season — granted symbolically by Lee "Hans SamD" Jae-hoon, who walked out of the fountain to hand it over. With this, BKR locked in a top 4 finish and will face the Bees on Friday for a shot at EMEA Masters qualification.
But the LFL continues tonight, with the current top two teams, Karmine Corp Blue and Gentle Mates, clashing at 6 PM. The winner will move straight to the Grand Final, while the loser will face either BKR or VITB in the Loser's Bracket Final.
