ShowMaker has officially surpassed the 3,500 assist mark in the LCK
The LCK resumed this morning with the start of Week 7, kicking off with a Bo3 between Nongshim RedForce and BNK FEARX. It was NS who came out on top, breaking a three-game losing streak. The second series of the day saw DRX take on Dplus KIA, and it was DK who managed to snap their own six-game skid with a hard-fought win over DRX.
Nongshim now sit comfortably in 4th place in the LCK standings, while FEARX drop to 7th. Dplus KIA find some relief with this much-needed win and currently hold 5th place. As for DRX, their struggles continue — they remain in 9th with just three wins and ten losses.
back to winning
The series was largely controlled by Nongshim, despite dropping the first game. NS looked solid overall, with Syun "Calix" Hyun-bin putting in a strong showing on Ahri, though his efforts weren’t quite enough to secure the win in Game 1. Game 2 saw FEARX nearly close out the series, with Lee "VicLa" Dae-kwang doing his best to turn things around for his team. But Nongshim held their ground, bounced back, and pushed the match to a decisive Game 3.
The final game was much closer, but Nongshim managed to edge it out thanks to a huge performance from Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon on Ambessa. The toplaner found a crucial teamfight where he dove deep into the backline, creating chaos and space for his teammates. Jung "Jiwoo" Ji-woo made the most of it, stepping up to secure the fight and the game. Nongshim sealed the series, and Kingen rightfully earned the MVP for his impact.
DK saved by it's youth
Dplus KIA were in desperate need of a win, having lost their last six series, and they finally managed to break the streak — though not without struggle — by edging out DRX in a hard-fought Bo3. Game 1 was a rollercoaster, with DRX leading for most of the match. Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee brought out the first Fiddlesticks support seen in the LCK in over six years, adding chaos to an already wild game. It took three Baron Nashors and two Elder Drakes — the final one secured by Jeon "Siwoo" Si-woo’s Gwen — for DK to finally close out the game and take the lead in the series.
Game 2 was equally chaotic, but this time it was DRX who came out on top. Despite never holding a gold lead at any point, they managed to force a Game 3 despite a standout performance from Choi "Lucid" Yong-hyeok on Lee Sin, who ended the match with a dominant 5/1/12 scoreline. A decisive fight around the Elder Drake gave DRX the edge, and the pressure was once again on DK. In the final game, Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram’s Varus dished out critical damage, while Siwoo stepped up again — this time on Camille — finding key engages to help DK finally break their losing streak and stay alive in the race for playoffs.
Tomorrow, Hanwha Life Esports will return to action against a recently in-form KT Rolster. While KT have shown improvement, HLE come in as clear favorites given their dominant performances this split. The second series of the day will feature T1 facing off against OKSavingsBank BRION. The reigning world champions are, unsurprisingly, heavy favorites — but it’s worth noting that BRO did manage to upset T1 in the first round-robin, and there’s nothing stopping them from pulling off another surprise.
